Fine or Isolate in jail anyone violating quarantine and endangering others

Fine or Isolate in jail anyone violating quarantine and endangering others

The Issue

Endangering the public by violating quarantine imposed by health authorities is THE reason why this country can grind to a halt within weeks in this time of the Carona pandemic.

China has the option to drag people to quarantine against their will and make them "disappear". Saudi Arabia and the Emirates have imposed fines of crores of rupees for such violations. I propose a fine of at least 10 lakhs for each violation or isolation in jail if the fine is not paid. The cost the government incurs in sanitising and compensation to potentially infected people would actually work out to much more.

A stiff fine will make people sit up and take notice. We all need to shed our 'chalta hai' attitude and send the right message to all our 'so called educated' people.

Please support this petition if you believe in the right of every citizen to a disease free life.
