On the 7th October 2024, UK charity Revitalise announced plans to make the difficult decision to close on 25th November.

For myself and countless others living with disabilities, Revitalise Respite Holidays has been nothing short of a lifeline for the past 60 years. This charity provides invaluable respite and short breaks to those of us who desperately need them.

Revitalise is more than just a holiday charity; it is a lifeline that has catered to people like me for decades. According to a study done by CarersUK, 8 in 10 carers have felt lonely or socially isolated due to their roles (CarersUK, 2019). Revitalise fights this loneliness and isolation by giving people with disabilities and their carers a respite from their daily routines.

Aside from providing holidays, Revitalise has also been active in advocating for the rights of individuals with disabilities.

We are trying to seek core funding support for example, grantmakers, current donors, etc, as Revitalise has proven for 60 years it's long term sustainability.
