This year in 2024 Mario and Sonic didn’t get a Tie in to Paris 2024. The International Olympic Committee IOC didn’t renew the license with Nintendo and Sega in 2020. On July 28, 2024 it was reported that the International Olympic Committee IOC decidedly ditched the Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games series. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games is one of the most popular franchises in history. And it is a shame that the IOC has decided to kill it off after 17 years. Without Mario and Sonic what would we do to associate the beloved series from Nintendo and Sega. It would just not be the same without that classic name. We must get Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games revived and resurrected from the dead. The license deal should be partnership with Nintendo and Sega not NTF and esports. Bring back Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games and make it popular like it was before.
