Stop Development in Crescent Park

Stop Development in Crescent Park
The Issue
Crescent Park is a rare, 17-acre maritime and stewardship forest. It’s home to birds on NJ’s endangered species list and a wide range of animals. It’s also one of the few safe stopping points for migratory birds as they travel the eastern seaboard. Our Mayor and Town Council want to destroy a portion of this precious forest to build a paddle ball court, viewing stand and parking. Citizens have petitioned the government to stop this plan. They are ignoring the wishes of hundreds of residents, which is a significant number, in our very small town. Crescent Park is an oasis in a highly-developed, densely-populated community. We do not want to lose our greenspace and wildlife habitat.
