Please sign this petition to help stop the decimation of 5 Acres of the conservation area to build 35 Homes in the heart of Glossop as this would have a devastating effect on the nature living in the conservation area such as many species of Bats, Owls, Frogs and Toads, Woodpeckers, Spotted flycatchers, Warblers, Blue tits and Goldfinches.

Signing this petition could help protect 48 mature Trees that are protected by a Tree Preservation order since the 1960s including Chestnut, Beech, and Ash some of which are over 100 years old.   

Help Highway Safety in the area, the proposed development is adjacent to a Primary School and Secondary School run and the roads which were built for Horse and Cart are already overrun with too many cars, the proposed development is close to Roads that have already had to be closed due to safety issues.

Glossop is at risk of suffering from an over development of large family homes which is seeing new build Houses sat empty, this could easily result in oversupply with little demand.

Traffic is terrible in Glossop and our Town is being strangled by cars.

Please sign this petition to show your support to a compromise with developers where the old Red Brick building would be converted into affordable homes which would have no more impact on the environment and community than when Red Court was at full capacity along with restoring the building to its former glory.
