Our ice rink community needs your help!

During an April Atlantic County Commissioners Meeting, 

DEEM Enterprises LLC, the private, for-profit company behind the proposed $3.4 Billion-Dollar Bader Field Development proposal,

...publicly and falsely claimed that our ice rink, the Skatezone, is “abandoned" and that they have no intentions to replace it.

They have every intention to demolish it and erase our community!

The rink is still used by hundreds of kids, families, and athletes across South Jersey, including Stockton University's ice hockey team, the Atlantic City Sharks Youth Ice Hockey Club, the Atlantic City Figure Skating Club, and many more! 

Our nonprofit, the South Jersey Ice & Athletic Center Association (SJIAC), has fought relentlessly to preserve this vital community space, but we need your help now more than ever:

We demand that DEEM Enterprises, the City of Atlantic City, Atlantic County officials, and the State of New Jersey:

1: ✅ Publicly correct the false statements made by DEEM representatives about the Skatezone being “abandoned.”

2: ✅ Relocate a new ice rink to a more sensible area of our region as a part of the Bader Field redevelopment plan.

3: ✅ Consider entering into a formal Community Benefit Agreement with the South Jersey Ice & Athletic Center Association (SJIAC), or the County of Atlantic, or any other responsible entity, to replace the Skatezone with a new, publicly accessible facility.

Hundreds of families still rely on the ice rink for youth sports, community events, and healthy recreation.
