The 2040 City of Kelowna Official Community Planning (OCP) was developed by the community, for the community, to guide our city's growth and development through to 2040. As residents of Kelowna, we understand that extensive work was completed by qualified professionals and community members in creating this plan. The proposed McKinley Lands OCP Amendment Application OCP24-0006 by Placemark undermines this collective effort and threatens our commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development.

This amendment could significantly alter the landscape of our city, disregarding the careful planning that has already been put into place. We must uphold the integrity of our 2040 OCP policy to ensure a balanced approach to growth that respects both our natural environment and community values.
