There are so many of us who are part of the vulnerable population that are high risk including fatality for covid. We all know that there are breakthrough infections even if you're vaccinated & that many are asymptomatic. The schools including the high schools have now as of this year become overpopulated with more students than even prior to covid-19 started.  

The Delta variant as we all know is increasing and affecting both vaccinated and unvaccinated constituents.  (This is NOT BY THE WAY a platform to vax shame anyone who has gotten the Vax or to Vax shame anyone who hasn't gotten the Vax.. ) Even with wearing masks which is VERY NECESSARY for both vaccinated and unvaccinated people, there's going to be problems with the children in ALL grade levels to properly social distance! Not to mention,  how can the administration of schools actually enforce the mask wearing of students as we know some may have an issue wearing them or wearing them improperly. 

Mayor Bill DeBlasio is once again putting our children at risk and our families at risk for severe illness or even death because like in March 2020 he is NOT LISTENING TO US PARENTS WHO ARE THE ONES TO CHOOSE what is safe for our children! 

Technology is there to be able to give us parents two options and these two options can be done so that all kids are taught simultaneously. 

1. Option to let parents choose if they want their children to learn FULLY REMOTE for school year 2021-2022
2. Option to let parents choose if they want their children to learn FULLY IN-PERSON for school year 2021-2022 

These two options as I said can both be honored and both groups of students can be taught simultaneously very easily. 

If Mayor DeBlasio wants to continue to put our city, our children,  & our families at risk and not give us this option,  then collectively as constituents of New York City (all 5 boroughs), we start a class action lawsuit against him for endangering our lives once again by not giving us parents the opportunity to protect our children and families by providing a remote learning option for those of us who are of the vulnerable population.
