Put "Make Mine Music" on Disney+ (Uncut)

The Issue

It's great that Disney+ has included many beloved Disney animation films. However, I have noticed that Make Make Music is missing from the streaming platform.

It is the eighth Disney animated feature ever made as well as the third package film, following Saludos Amigos and The Three Caballeros.

Some of its famous segments include Peter and the Wolf and The Whale Who Wanted to Sing at the Met.

Since...

  1. Make Mine Music was first released in the United States on VHS and DVD on June 6, 2000, under the Walt Disney Gold Classic Collection title
  2. Disney released the film for the first time ever on Blu-ray through their Disney Movie Club website on November 2, 2021
  3. The movie is part of Disney's 100-Movie Blu-ray Set to commemorate the Walt Disney Company's 100th Anniversary
  4. April 20th of this year marks the movie's 80th Anniversary.

...it should also be added to Disney+.

Explicit reports by Disney's customer service confirmed that the Blu-ray, released on November 2nd, 2021, would be uncut and explicitly mentioned that the release would include all ten musical segments (including The Martins and the Coys). However, it still retains the edits from the previous home release.

Movie Club Members have started petitioning to request an explanation regarding the conflicting information given before release and the inconsistent packaging and editing in this edition, in hopes of Disney offering a disc replacement program to include the full version of the film as announced and confirmed by Disney Movie Club leading up to the release.

Because of that claim, the film should be on Disney+ uncut and when it does come on the streaming platform, it should have the message that warns viewers about outdated cultural depictions like with Pinocchio and Dumbo.

It's also very ironic that Disney+ made references to this movie (like in Steamboat Silly and Mickey Mouse) and it is still not part of its collection.

Let's make our voices heard and demand Disney+ to include Make Mine Music (uncut).
