Neighbors Against Rezoning of Property at 15115 Kollmeyer Dr
The Issue
The City of Lakeway ZAPCO and City Council are considering a rezoning of the 13 Acres of land located at 15115 Kollmeyer Dr.
This would rezone the property from Agriculture (AG) & Single-Family Residential Rural (R-6) to Planned Unit Development (PUD).
Details of the planned development can be found here: Link to Report
The development includes 130 homes on 13 acres of land
These homes would share a fence line with the Lake Travis Elementary School playground, residential homes along Cavalier Canyon Drive, and the Kollmeyer Springs subdivision, a 21-home community of single-family homes.
Be it known those undersigned are residents, LTE parents, and affected homeowners within the surrounding community who are concerned with this rezoning and hereby request ZAPCO and the City Council decline this request, given the substantial impact to our neighborhood and the safety risk of an additional 950 daily trips added by this development - in an area that already requires police presence during school drop-off and pick-up times to maintain.
As a community, the potential impact of a 130-home development would be highly detrimental to our environment, property values, and quality of life.
Two hearings will be held on the request, both in City Hall, located at 1102 Lohmans Crossing Rd.
