Get Jamarion Robinson an honorary bachelors degree from Tuskegee University

The Issue

Jamarion Robinson was killed by police in Atlanta, GA on August 5, 2016. Jamarion was a student at Tuskegee University and had just re-registered for Fall of 2016. He played football in Spring of 2013 – December 2014. Jamarion’s jersey numbers were 27 and 31.Jamarion played defensive back. I followed his mother ( Monteria Robinson ) on social media where her voice was not being amplified as a young woman, a sister (who loves her brother's), and as someone attending an HBCU in the midst of 2020, I could not stand by and do nothing. I talked to Ms.Robinson and learned about her and her son to know the details of her son's death left me (a usually well-versed person) speechless. Jamarion Robinson was shot 59 times, flash-bang grenades were thrown at him landing on him burning him, someone walked up the stairs stood over him, and shot down into his body 5 times. He was then handcuffed and dragged down a flight of stairs. Jamarion Robinson had a total of 76 bullet holes in his body. Throughout 2020 I watched the people across the nation take a stand against injustice and transgression; I am now asking that you sign this petition in support of Mr. Jamarion Robinson receiving an honorary degree from Tuskegee University to pay respect to his mother who has been tirelessly fighting to get justice and recognition for her son.
