The Issue

In Arkansas, your neighbor, your friend, or even your family member could be suffering. This unbearable pain arises from a heartbreaking and injust experience: having their children ripped away from them due to fraudulent adoption loopholes protected by Statute 9-9216(b). This law contains language that protects misrepresented adoptions, obstructing justice for truth-seeking families who have become the innocent victims of such inhumane transactions.

In many instances, these fraudulent adoptions occur due to alleged misrepresentations or even force. The deceivers fade into the background, protected from both civil and criminal penalties by the same law that is supposed to ensure justice. As a result, parents are left grieving, their cries for justice falling on deaf ears because of the inadequate legislation in place.

Our plea is straightforward: amend Arkansas Statute 9-9216(b). We need to remove the language protecting fraudulent and misrepresented adoptions, and instead implement wording that enforces no statute of limitations for civil and criminal penalties in fraudulent adoption proceedings. This will ensure that those who perpetrate these heinous crimes finally face the consequences of their actions, regardless of how much time has passed.

The pain of losing a child under false pretenses is unimaginable. And the reality of being unable to seek justice is even more horrifying. It's time for a change, a step towards justice for every family wrongfully separated by these horrific practices. Join us, stand with us, let your voice be heard. Only then can we truly shift the tides towards justice, ensuring no more parents experience such anguish. Let's change Arkansas Statute 9-9216(b) together. Sign this petition now.
