Pass Elijah’s Law: A Stronger Bullying Prevention and Accountability Law
The Issue
We are honored to share an important update:
Senator Paul Moriarty and his team have expressed their support in helping us push Elijah’s Law forward.
Elijah’s Law: Creating Safe, Student-Centered Schools in South Jersey
In May 2025, Elijah — a bright and loving boy from South Jersey — tragically ended his life after enduring bullying. His story reflects a heartbreaking truth: too many students do not feel safe, supported, or heard in school. Parents deserve to know their children are not only learning, but also respected, emotionally supported, and safeguarded from harm.
We are calling on the New Jersey Senate to pass Elijah’s Law, strengthening the state’s Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act. This law would make schools truly student-centered, with reforms such as: mandatory reporting of bullying incidents, team-based investigations (instead of leaving decisions to one person), immediate parental involvement, counseling and therapy for aggressors and victims, age-appropriate mental health education, and transparent procedures for families.
Bullying is not “kids being kids” — it is an act of violence with lasting consequences. With Elijah’s Law, we can ensure accountability, embed mental health support into schools, and create safer, stronger communities. Please sign and share this petition to demand Elijah’s Law in South Jersey and protect every child’s future.
