The Issue

Robert Sylvester Kelly is a global superstar who has been known for hits such as, "I Believe I Can Fly and Ignition" In 2008 Mr. Kelly was aquitted on child pornography charges with key witness indicating she was not the young lady in a sex tape. In 2021 and 2022 he was convicted in New York and Illinois on child pornography and 3 counts of enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity. The case became a world interest with the Lifetime documentary "Surviving R. Kelly" in which many of the singer's scorned ex-girlfriends and ex-wife told their stories about encounters they endured while in a relationship with the singer. Initially, they indicated they were tied up, had to ask permission to eat, beaten, and held captive. After the debut airing of the docuseries Illinois District Attorney Kim Fox conducted a press conference asking anyone with knowledge or witness abuse from R. Kelly to come forward, she then set up a call in line for the open airway of anyone to make a claim. Singer John Legend who was in the documentary "SRK" and is a known critic of the singer was praised for his involvement in SRK only not to have ever met R. Kelly, believing rumors that were spreading about R. Kelly for years Mr. Legend proceeded to show is dislike for Mr. Kelly. However, it was all in the frame, Mr. Legend was in the R. Kelly militia with Dream Hampton, Charlagmane the God, Toure`, and more. Mr. Legend before the airing of SRK endorsed Kim Fox on her campaign for District Attorney. The information was discovered by a blogger on YouTube "Spittin Fire" during her investigation of such a malice takedown, the blogger indicated it didn't seem genuine what was said in "Surviving R. Kelly" After continuing research, she and other bloggers found information that the government was using informants on YouTube to persuade the girlfriend Azriel Clary who interviewed with Gayle King in 2019. Only to change her mind and testify against the singer in 2021 when his financial funds were depleted. Another witness in a 2008 state case who initially testified it wasn't her in the infamous sex tape changed her mind with the government promising her restitution and section 8 housing. She was promised 13 to 20 million dollars if she testified only for the judge to deny her restitution. (That is motivation to change your mind to testify for the government) Wait! There's more, blogger "Unwinewithtashak" was the first to interview the girlfriend's claims without fact-checking. However, she received documentation from the prison where Mr. Kelly was held before trial and gave his jail records to the parents of the government's witness. This was a complete violation of Mr. Kelly's due process rights and attorney-client privilege.

The bottom line was that once Mr. Kelly's trial started the jury was already biased with a one-sided documentary airing making 25 to 30 million people believe the untruths of these claims, jail records leaked, the government had him attacked after his fan-organized peaceful protest, not to mention only 2 in the documentary were at trial the others weren't even witnesses for the government. One witness claimed she wasn't honest or truthful. She stalked Mr. Kelly since his 2008 trial. Teamed up with a journalist who was a critic of Mr. Kelly as well and she indicated she lied in his book, that journalist Jim Derogitis refused to testify in court in 2008 and 2022. Not to mention a lobbyist and civil rights attorney stole Mr. Kelly's moniker to slander and sell merch on their website #MuteRKELLY.
