Durante años, los residentes de Culebra y Vieques, PR han sido maltratados por el único medio de transporte desde las islas municipios hacia Puerto Rico (Ceiba). Esta es nuestra ruta para acceder a servicios de salud, agencias gubernamentales, escuelas/colegios, etc. Este es también el camino de los turistas. Sin embargo, contamos con un servicio que no cumple con nuestras necesidades. El servicio de ferries es financiado por el gobierno federal, por lo tanto, tiene que ser un servicio decente. Las instalaciones consisten en un área cercada llena de sillas plásticas cubiertas por una lona, ​​máquinas de venta automáticas vacías, orinales portátiles y, muy a menudo, viajes retrasados ​​que se traducen en horas de espera en estas pésimas condiciones. Además, nos dicen que no hay suficientes boletos para todos los pasajeros/vehículos y muchas veces sale un barco/ferry vacío. Estamos cansados de tener que perder días enteros en la terminal de Ceiba haciendo fila para intentar conseguir boletos, solo para luego encontrarnos con que se haya sobrevendido, o que el viaje esté atrasado. Solo esperamos que pueda apoyarnos con su firma para exigir un mejor servicio. 

For years, the residents of Culebra and Vieques, PR have been mistreated by the only means of transportation from the municipal islands to Puerto Rico (Ceiba). This is our route to access health services, government agencies, schools/colleges, etc. This is also the path of tourists. However, we have a service that does not meet our needs. The ferry service is funded by the federal government, so it has to be a decent service. The facility consists of a fenced-in area filled with plastic chairs and covered by a tarp, empty vending machines, portable urinals, and very often delayed rides that result in hours of waiting in these appalling conditions. In addition, we are told that there are not enough tickets for all the passengers/vehicles and many times an empty boat/ferry leaves. We are tired of having to spend entire days in the Ceiba terminal waiting in line to try to get tickets, only to find out that they have been overbooked, or that the trip is delayed. We only hope that you can support us with your signature to demand a better service.
