However, there are no affordable arpeggiones available, and the instrument is not well known. The cheapest arpeggione costs several thousand dollars, and many people have not even heard of them. If guitar manufacturers were to produce and advertise arpeggiones, many guitarists would purchase them in addition to their guitar collections.

Though many people have not heard of the arpeggione, all the guitarists I have mentioned it to have told me that they are very interested, and that if one were available for the cost of three or four guitars (rather than ten or more), they would almost certainly purchase one.
