The United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights have been created approximately 62 years ago and have slowly been adapted by nations and states with  some more active than others. However since then, neither nations or states have come close to fully adapt the Declaration, implement and enforce its content meaningfully. In the mean while, human rights defenders have continue to be active in advancing and promoting human rights globally including making the Declaration of Universal Human Rights a reality and a global binding treaty. Their work can be extremely dangerous, difficult and full of hardship and can result in intimidation, harassment, violence, abuse, torture, persecution and death. Despite the existence of the United Nations Declaration on Human Defender Rights, few global citizens are aware of its existence and few nations or perhaps no nation or states uphold its contents and meanings.

Endorse and Champion The United Nations Declaration of Human Rights Defenders

Dear President of the United States, The U.S. Senate, and The U.S. House of Representatives

The US must recognize the vital, necessary work and contribution of human rights defenders to societies and humanity by adopting the UN Declaration on Human Rights Defenders as part of this nation legal and binding law. Human rights defenders are the consciences, safeguards, supporters, protectors, advancers and transformers of the essences of humanity, nature and life.

Human rights are the foundation of freedom, democracy, peace, development, equality, justice, dignity and well being. Human rights defenders play crucial, vital and necessary role in advancing justice, civil rights, human rights, environment rights, the common good, communities well being and the essence of humanity. They are the voices, forces and actions for the voiceless, poor, vulnerable, disabled, discriminated, outcast and persecuted and against injustice, inequality, oppression and inhumanity. Yet throughout the world, they are often target of premeditate and systematic intimidation, harassment, violence, abuse, revenge, cruelty and hatred with impunity.

Human right defenders and their families can be target of such as social, economical, cultural, civil and political obstruction or persecution; campaign of slander, smear and destructive propaganda; humiliation and acts of indecency; resources and financial obstruction and destruction; violence and abuse; mob rule and persecution; isolation and outcast; malicious acts and threats; false accusation and deceptive tactics; psychological and mental torture; hatred incitement and persecution; revenge and arbitrary arrest; torture, cruel and inhuman treatment; hidden abuses and dehumanization; stripped of their belongings, properties, jobs or sources of income; death threats, body and properties harms, and even death

As a core UN member (such as UN co-founder, Security Council, Human Rights Council , Economic Council and Women Council), and as a nation that has directly or indirectly causes much global sufferings and human rights deterioration since 9/11 with war on terror campaign and wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan, this nation must have the accountability and responsibility to collaborate and help the global community actively and collectively raise consciousness and awareness to correct and advance global human rights and well being. The world desperately needs a sustainable, robust, dynamic, transformative and revolutionize human rights dedication, efforts and movement A few necessary and righteous global solutions are for the US to adapt the Declaration of Universal Human Rights, Declaration of Indigenous Rights and Declaration of Human Rights Defenders as binding and enforceable law. This would certainly show goodwill, determination, commitment and seriousness to set good examples, leadership, encouragement and inspiration to the global community to protect, defend and advance universal human rights.

We hereby, urge this nation to actively, forcefully and resolutely champion universal human rights and support human rights defenders by endorsing the UN Declaration of Human Rights Defenders as legal and enforceable law of the land to safeguard and advance the Universal Human Rights and Dignity, Declaration of Indigenous Rights, the common good, humanity common habitat, the well being of the global community and the essence of humanity and life.

Sincerely,
