Dear President of the United States, The U.S. Senate, and The U.S. House of Representatives

To include the United Nations International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families as part of the Immigration Reform legislation. Currently, only 42 of 193 nations participate in the UN treaty with many have not ratified it. By joining the treaty, the US can help the UN revive and advance the process to include all states. Obtaining a consensus treaty would be a landmark achievement for the global community and critical and urgent for continuing progress on civil rights, human rights, dignity, and well being in this nation; and for bolstering efforts to support and advance global democracy, liberty, civil rights, peace, harmony, universal human rights, dignity, and well being worldwide.

Furthermore, ratification and enforcing of the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families would prevent or eliminate global conflicts, human trafficking, slavery, child labor, abuses, violence, and many other social ills. It would strengthen and advance the US Constitution, US leadership, this nation values, the common goods, and humanity goodness and virtues. In addition, the efforts would enrich society, foster diversity and pluralism, and improve the fabrics of society. By joining and being active in the treaty, the US would participate in and promote a stronger and more robust dialogue, alliance, and program between governments, civil society and human rights experts on potentially the most effective means to achieve the well being for all.

As a member of the UN Security Council and UN Human Rights Council, the US must do all it can to protect, defend, and advance the UN as well as this nation ideals, principles, values, common goods, and mission. We hereby, strongly urge and encourage the Congress and Senate to include the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families an integral part of the Immigration Reform legislation to set good global examples; to support the UN in advancing the treaty to include all nations; and to transform societies and nations to build a better world and humanity. We thank you for your caring, support, empathy, efforts, and humility on this critical and urgent cause.
