Democracies Should Diplomatically Recognize Taiwan at the 2022 Summit for Democracy
The Issue
The arguments for taking action are laid out in an essay titled "Taiwan Is a Country, US Should Stop 'Strategic Ambiguity'," which was published in Taiwan News on Sept 21st.
A shorter version of the same essay was published in the Washington Examiner on Sept 29th. It is titled "Recognize Taiwan."

On August 28th, I hiked to the summit of Mount Fuji and recorded a video to help promote this petition. You can watch the video HERE.
In English, the word "summit" has multiple meanings. As a noun, it means "a meeting between heads of government" or "the highest point of a mountain." When used as a verb, it means "to hike or climb to the highest point of a mountain."
The multiple meanings are what inspired me to summit Mount Fuji in order to promote diplomatic recognition of Taiwan at the Summit for Democracy. Anyone who plans to summit a mountain in the near future is welcome to borrow the idea. Take photos and share them on social media using the hashtag, #SummitForTaiwaneseDemocracy. If you send me a link, I can share the photos as an update on this petition, which will go to the email addresses of everyone who signs. My email address is: lindelll@gmail.com
