We are four middle school girls looking to start a movement pushing for accessible period products. Menstrual products are a necessity for people who get a period. Many people who get a period don’t have enough money for pads and tampons, which is known as Period Poverty. Most public schools in NYC don't have these products available. We are on a mission to change this, but we need your help. By signing this petition and donating to our GoFundMe, you are helping us reach our goal. We plan to bring our petition to the DOE and demand that the proper period products are provided in NYC public schools. This is The Period Project. Read more

this semester we're currently getting a lackluster GDS experience from what we had prior, our choices are limited to a very select menu of items, and the choice of freedom is now gone. this wouldn't be a huge issue if NJIT had properly advertised GDS, but with promises of it being full service and charging full price to give us access to only 1/4 of its menu is unfair. NJIT needs to fix the GDS or refund their students who have been wronged. As a second-year student living on campus, the meal plans are Mandatory. this is even worse for freshman students who had no idea what to expect and are being scammed out of a proper GDS. Especially with the recent Cyprus lockdown, this change is necessary, with the only option being a limited dining service, NJIT is essentially allowing themselves to have a monopoly over the food that gets served in the even of quarantine on campus. This is unfair and borderline criminal, if change isn't seen soon or a rebate is given for the lackluster service we received I'm certain the reputation of NJIT will fall further.Read more
