Even now, after 10 years, Hannibal fans continue to hunger for more! We simply ask for a large streaming platform such as Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, Amazon Prime, consider picking up and renewing the show so that Bryan Fuller can continue telling his fantastic vision of the character that so many of us cherish and love. Interest remains. This petition alone has been signed by over 100,000 people! That should tell you that we are quite serious. We want to see the return of great actors like Hugh Dancy, Mads Mikkelsen and Laurence Fishburne! We want to see a return of the fantastic and elegant wardrobe that filled each episode! Of beautifully macabre cooking scenes! Of existential and philosophically heavy dialogue! Of the harpsichord and classical music and, of course, the occasional gruesome dissection of the rude here and there. Thank you!Read more

Courtney Rainey received a 15 year sentence on a charge of witness intimidation for asking a woman who admittedly lied about Courtney's actions to tell the truth. We are asking Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves to Pardon Courtney Rainey!
Courtney is a daughter, a mother of a 10 year old child, and friend to so many. She was born and raised in Mississippi. She was a dynamic leader rising in power from becoming Mississippi’s former Director of Human and Cultural Needs and a member of the Canton Municipal School Board.
Ms. Rainey was indicted on charges for a voter fraud conspiracy based on the false police report of a witness who claimed that Courtney paid her to vote. Courtney confronted Ousley, a woman she had known most of her life, and asked her to go back and tell the truth. During Courtney’s trial, the witness admitted to lying about Courtney paying for her vote. She testified that she lied because she was afraid of the police. She also said that she was never intimidated by Courtney.
However, according to the state, Ms. Rainey's actions still constituted intimidation, even if the witness admitted to lying and testified that she was never intimidated by Courtney. For this reason, Although she was not convicted for the voter fraud charge, she was convicted for witness intimidation. She was sentenced to 15 years, the maximum sentence for witness intimidation.
Courtney Rainey’s story is another painful example of the ills of this criminal legal system. State violence exerted on Black bodies is not limited to the murder of unarmed black bodies, but rather it also includes the harm that the state inflicts on Black bodies via the Prison Industrial complex. Courtney is appealing her case, but she really deserves to be pardoned.
Please sign this petition to request Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves to Pardon Courtney Rainey so that she can come home to her daughter!

Aquinas Institute has, for over 120 years, supported Goodness, Discipline and Knowledge, educating young men and women in the tradition of the Basilian Fathers.
In 2021, an alumnus came to the school to address students on his business success. In the course of the presentation, he and his wife singled out students who they deemed overweight, called Black Lives Matter a "Marxist organization" said that LGBTQ students were disgusting and that feminism is "evil." Following that spectacle, the President of Aquinas reached out to families to reiterate that the speaker did not display the tenets of Goodness, Discipline and Knowledge that Aquinas has always, and will always, value.
This alumnus and a group of parents have since spewed outrage that AQ has lost its Catholicity and caters to liberalism. Indeed, Aquinas does exhibit a willingness to respect or accept behavior or opinions different from one's own, an openness to new ideas and a political and social philosophy that promotes individual rights, civil liberties, democracy, and free enterprise (which is the actual Oxford Languages definition of "liberalism."). It also embraces gospel values and reflects Catholic values and teachings. Plus, it offers a top-notch education, a rigorous curriculum and an opportunity for students to think critically and to become the citizens that this world so desperately needs.
Please join us in showing your support for Aquinas' board, administration and faculty for their dedication to quality education and their denunciation of racism, bigotry and hate.Read more
This is my mother who is 71 years old who suffers from "Long QT" syndrome which can be potentially fatal and the reason she had to retire from working.
My father, age 72 with over 40 years of Type 1 diabetes, chronic kidney disease and 2 separate knee replacements.
These are the people who through National Debt Relief, Gitmeid Law advised them it would be in their best interest to try to pay off close to $100,000 in credit card debt. My parents have no income, no assets (cars or houses) and scrape by on social security hoping their meager savings can cover their rising medical costs. When my parents ran out of money to pay them, Gitmeid Law referred them to Liberty Lending which suspciously has the same physical address as Gitmeid Law and National Debt Relief. Referring people with awful credit to try to take out a loan? Doesn't seem right. I've recently found information from an ex-employee calling their entire setup a scam. https://web.archive.org/web/20191229185806/http://spiralnotes.com/liberty-lending-llc-review/
Over the past year I just couldn't understand why my father stopped eating and often times, just seemed like he had no desire to take care of himself. The family thought it could be "diabetic burnout" but he always said everything was fine. I'm sure he just didn't want to stress out anyone else in the family.
There have been times where my parents had to choose between food and medical costs and I was still unaware fully what was going. Very scary that lack of food and/or medication in their cases can literally be life threatening. There were weeks where I would buy them groceries and I couldn't figure out why they had no money because they don't buy anything other than basic groceries, they don't take trips or even splurge on the occasional night out. I've messaged my concerns to "robert@gitmeidlaw.com" which is the email provided on their contact page but did not get a response. I've also voiced my concerns with National Debt Relief via Facebook who is now ignoring my messages.
There have been numerous other testimonials on: https://www.yelp.com/biz/national-debt-relief-new-york that make one question the legitimacy of Gitmeid Law's services. They even still take payments with a company called "Global Client Solutions" which has gotten in trouble in other states for "Unfair and deceptive trade practices" and also sued by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. https://alliedprogress.org/enforcement-tracker/action/cfpb-v-global-client-solutions/

Petition to Latrell Mitchell, South Sydney Rabbitohs
We all know Rugby League is a rough and tough game, and not one player goes out onto the field wanting to really hurt a player or put their own career in jeopardy.
What happened on the field during the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Sydney Roosters game on Friday 27th August during the tackle that Latrell Mitchell made on Joey Manu is an unfortunate incident that has blown up and regrettably ended the 2021 season for 2 incredibly talented first graders.
The fallout that had ensued for Latrell Mitchell is deplorable and we need to let Latrell know that he’s not alone. We need to remember that he’s only 24 years old and still learning his way through life. He’s had to put up with a LOT of hate comments via social media during his time playing first grade, and even though he’s proven to be able rise above it time and time again and lead the way with a campaign against online bullying, the incident from last week is another example where he has been made an unfair example of.
We, as South Sydney Members and Fans need to get behind Latrell and let him know that he has our support. He is a part of the South Sydney Family and he doesn’t need to be made to feel like he did anything other than go out onto the field and put his body on the line like he does every week for the Cardinal and Myrtle.
WE LOVE AND APPRECIATE YOU LATRELL AND CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU BACK ON THE FIELD. UP THE MIGHTY RABBITOHS ❤️❤️Read more

Foie gras literally means "fatty liver" and is produced by force-feeding ducks and geese abnormally large volumes of food via a tube that is rammed down their throats and directly into their stomachs. This causes the liver to swell to ten times its normal size. Their distended abdomens make standing difficult and impairs their breathing. These normally aquatic birds are kept confined in crowded sheds with no access to water for swimming.
Besides the suffering inherent in these "standard industry practices", birds sustain injuries to their esophagus from rough handling. They can suffer from diarrhea, heat stress and lameness due to foot infections. Some suffocate on their own vomit.
The production and/or sale of foie gras is prohibited in many jurisdictions including California, Israel, Germany, Norway, The UK and India. But, here in Canada, instead of banning it, we are subsidizing the industry. Please sign the petition telling Marie-Claude Bibeau, the Minister of Agriculture, you don't want your tax dollars supporting a cruel luxury item.

Petition to Parlimen Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamed, Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Kasthuri Patto, Democratic Action Party, PARTI KEADILAN RAKYAT, Lim Guan Eng, Anwar Ibrahim, Mohamad Sabu, Muhyiddin Yassin, Mohamed Azmi...
The problem is not new and has been explained before.
In 2010, the Malaysian Deputy Minister for Women revealed that nearly 16,000 girls below the age of 15 were in a marriage. In April, Malaysia’s lower house amended the country’s Child Act 2001 without banning all marriage by girls and boys under the age of 18, though it was called for by several members of parliament and rights groups. 15 Too Young, a student initiative aiming to raise awareness of this situation and be the kick starter for change in Malaysia raised a petition here on Change.org — it garnered 131 signatures.
The Joint Action Group for Gender Equality (JAG) started a petition here on Change.org in 2013, highlighting the public outcry against a case in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, of a 40-year-old alleged rapist marrying the 13-year old he was alleged to have raped — it got the attention of 2,232 signatories.
And then there was the case of a 41 year-old marrying an 11-year-old, with her parent's permission, if not blessing. The child's father, who had agreed to this Nikah Gantung (Consumation to occur after a period of time, although it is unclear in this case hoow long a time) is reported to have said, “The man was willing to marry my daughter because he wanted to help me as I am poor and depend on the income I get tapping rubber.”
A letter from Sisters in Islam, published in Malaysiakini on 26th April 2018 notes:
START QUOTE "In Malaysia, the minimum age of marriage for non-Muslims is 18 for boys and girls. Exemptions are allowed, however, for girls as young as 16 years old to marry with the approval of the chief minister of the state.
For Muslims, the minimum age for marriage for boys is 18 years and 16 years for girls. The syariah court, however, may approve the marriage of a child at any age. This means that by law, there is no minimum age for Muslims.
At the 69th Convention for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (Cedaw) Session in Geneva, Switzerland earlier this year, the committee explicitly pointed out that in Malaysia, child marriage continues to be permitted under both the Law Reform (Marriage and Divorce) Act and the Islamic Family Law, despite the withdrawal of Malaysia’s reservation of article 16 (2) of the Convention.
The committee also voiced concern that the rate of child marriage in Malaysia continues to rise. A proposal to amend the Sexual Offences Against Children Bill to include a ban against child marriage was voted down by the majority in Parliament in April last year." END QUOTE [Source: <https://www.malaysiakini.com/letters/421663>
This can not go on. It must not.
On 29th April 2016, Heather Barr (Senior Researcher, Women's Rights Division) and Linda Lakhdir (Legal Advisor, Asia Division), bothfrom Human Rights Watch, wrote: START QUOTE "This month, Malaysia’s lower house amended the country’s Child Act 2001 without banning all marriage by girls and boys under the age of 18, as called for by several members of parliament and rights groups. Absent from the debate was any appreciation of the core problem with child marriage - the real and lasting damage that early marriage causes to girls." END QUOTE. They wrote about the devastating consequences for girls in child marriages, and noted, START QUOTE "Malaysia, by refusing to even reform its law to make child marriage illegal, is going against a global tide of progress on child marriage," END QUOTE and START QUOTE "The Joint Action Group on Gender Equality, a coalition of Malaysian non-governmental organisations, has raised particular concern about situations in which rape victims have been forced to marry the rapist or another man to hush up the crime." END QUOTE.
Statutes need to be looked at to prevent child marriage and to criminalise the actions of adults who perpetrate this. We are living in 2018, not 1818, and certainly not 632 CE.
Parliament can make this happen. Cabinet can make this happen. The Courts can make this happen. Is this truly New Malaysia? Dare we hope? Please, please, make it so.
==============================Penterjemahan Petisyen Bahasa Malaysia disertakan:
