Petition to Dutch Government, Dutch Parliament, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
A signature for Cuba.
For several years, the Dutch government has been silent about human rights violations in Cuba. On the other hand, Dutch companies, uncertified by the government, have taken advantage of doing business with Cuban real estate companies. The Government of the Netherlands has closed its eyes and those of the blind eye have been made, before the constant violations of human rights on the island of Cuba. The values of freedom and democracy that characterize the Dutch people and society have been thrown to the floor in the case of Cuba. The Dutch authorities have shielded the fact that they allegedly have private conversations with the Cuban government, where they communicate to the regime's delegates, concerns in human rights matreria, however, there is no public conviction to the documented facts of violations of the most basic rights of Cubans. A recent case has been the subject of Jose Daniel Ferrer, where the Dutch Government has not made a public statement about Ferrer's situation.Last summer, the Dutch Parliament approved the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement between the European Union and Cuba (PDCA), however, it is more than evident that, the Dutch state is only interested in doing business with the Cuban dictatorship. We ask that the Dutch authorities take a clear stance on human rights in Cuba and that Cubans have the right to choose a democratic future.

BharatRatna for Ghantasala : Signature Campaign
Bharata Ratna for Sri Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Garu Dear Respected President of India and Respected Prime Minster of India, On the occasion of the Birth Centenary of Sri Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao garu, we request the Government of India to recognize him with Bharata Ratna posthumously for his tremendous contributions in the field of Music of India. For the 15 Crores Telegu speaking people in the two states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and all over India and the world, Sri Ghantasala (as he is commonly known) was a legend. His rendering of the Bhagavad-Gita, that epitomized his divine voice, will forever be one of the most listened recordings in India. His contributions as music director and singer in several Indian languages - Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi - are immense in a career spanning for more than 25 years. Sri Ghantasala garu sang more than 10,000 songs and directed music for 110 films. Such a combination of being a singer and music director, both in large numbers, is unparalleled by any musician in India. His non-film songs collection that included The Bhagavad Gita, Kunti Kumari, Pushpa Vilapam and patriotic songs became popular in their own right. He authored, composed music and sang some of these songs -"bahudoorapu baatasaari", "idi sandhyasamayam" - all by himself, thus joining the ranks of “vaggeyakaarulu" (poet-composers). His voice had so much versatility that, according to a famous composer Sri Pendyala Nageswara Rao, he was one of the very few playback singers who could sing at all three octaves ("threesthayee") with ease. His life was dedicated to music from his childhood till the last day! He accompanied his father as a child in performing tarangams. Then itself, he was recognized for his sense of music, and was advised to learn music formally. While going through severe financial hardships, he persisted in learning music at the Maharajah's Government College of Music and Dance in Vijayanagram. He started his career at All India Radio and once he was introduced to the film industry, there was no looking back and had a memorable journey till the end. He performed and represented Telugu music at the United Nations and in many countries. He sang even on the day before his death from the hospital bed for Bhadrachala Ramadasu Vaibhavam. Sri Ghantasala garu was also a freedom fighter during the Quit India movement in 1942. He sang several patriotic songs among the people and inspired scores of them to take up the cause of the Indian independence. The British Government could not contain him and his work and finally jailed him for 18 months in Alipore and Ballari jails. After the independence, he formally recorded several of these songs and they continue to be inspirational for generations to come! Sri Ghantasala garu was so highly respected that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams made him the Aaasthana Gaayaka (court musician) for the temple. It is to be noted that, after the 15th century saint Sri Annamayya, he is the only musician who performed in Venkateshwara Swami garbhagudi (inner sanctum). His popularity was so comprehensive that so many people and local organizations have taken it upon themselves, without any religious or political affiliations, to dedicate more than fifty statues of Sri Ghantasala in their villages, towns and cities. The first among them, currently at the Ravindrabharati auditorium in Hyderabad, was spearheaded by Padmabhushan Sri S P Balasubramanyam. The devotion to his music extends even further in the form of temples for him in Anakapalle, Srikakulam, and Hyderabad. As a singer, and as a music director he touched so many lives, he immortalized the works of so many music directors, gave life to the performances of so many top actors on the screen with his voice, and always encouraged so many upcoming artists of that time. With his voice that spans across a wide spectrum - from the lively love songs to the deep sorrow songs - he played a big role in the acting careers of legendary actors like N.T.Ramarao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Krishna, Sobhan Babu, Kanta Rao, Krishnam Raju, and Murali Mohan in Telugu, Sivaji Ganeshan, M.G.Ramachandran, and Gemini Ganesan in Tamil, Rajkumar in Kannada and Prem Nazir in Malayalam. He sang with all the famous Music Directors of that time - Pendyala, S Rajeshwara Rao, TV Raju, Subbaraman, Kodandapani, KV Mahadevan, MS Vishwanathan - and made their tunes into memorable songs. It is very difficult to talk about any of their works without giving due credit to Sri Ghantasala. Similarly, he gave life to so many songs written by all the great lyricists including Samudrala, Kosaraju, Arudra, Atreya, Sri Sri, C Narayanara Reddy, and Dasaradhi. All of them have expressed their gratitude to the Golden voice of Ghantasala for bringing out the deep lyrical value in their songs. He performed thousands of songs with ease alongside of so many co-singers like Jikki, Jamunarani, P Leela, P Suseela, Rao Balasaraswati, and S Janaki. As a music director he composed music for 118 movies in all languages. Some of these famous movies - Patala Bhairavi, Mayabazar, Lava Kusa, Govula Gopanna, Pandava Vanavasam, Rahasyam, Gundamma Katha, Paramanandayya Shishyula Katha, Bratuku deruvu, Manchi Manasuku manchi rojulu, Sabhash Ramudu, Pelli Chesi Chudu, and Mayabazaar - would never have been as blockbuster hits without his background music and the songs. Though Ghantasala was the best playback singer from his first movie until his death, and most directors would want him to sing all their songs, he always encouraged upcoming singers like PB Srinivas, AM Raja, Madavapeddi, Pitapuram, S P Balasubramanyam, and V Ramakrishna. The legendary SP Balasubramanyam always attributed his success to his beloved "maastaru garu" as he addressed Ghantasala with reverence. The Indian government recognized Sri Ghantasala with a PadmaShri in 1970. A postage stamp was released in his honor in 2003. However, for all his contributions to the field of Indian Music, it is appropriate that he be given the highest civilian honor of the land in India, the Bharata Ratna. Since his birth centenary celebrations are being celebrated this year, this will be the best opportunity to honor him now! =============================================================== Many Telugu associations from all over the world participated in several TV shows (Zoom) and expressed unconditional support to this noble project. Say No To HB 1705 - TEXAS Barber and Cosmetology Abolishment :Signature Goal 100K
On 02/12/2019 Texas State Representative Matt Shaheen, District 66, filed HB 1705, which states to abolish the regulation practices of Barbering and Cosmetology. If HB 1705 were to pass, all Texas Barber and Cosmetology licenses would no longer be valid or required as of September 1, 2019. This would be an insult to the licensed professionals that have taken the time to receive Barbering and Cosmetology education that consist of Anatomy and Physiology of Hair, Skin and Nails, Chemistry, Ecology, Trichology, and more. This would also be a disservice to the consumer as abolishment would put both parties at a high risk of communicable diseases, chemical damages, and hair loss due to improper practical application and lack of knowledge in safety and sanitation. It is now time to organize by letting your voice be heard and maintaining awareness of this situation as this has not been the first attempt. We need all licensed professionals, future student professionals, manufacturing companies, and consumers to understand the importance of opposing HB 1705 by siging this petition, making phone calls, sending emails, and being present to show your disdain for this bill. State Representative Matt Shaheen, Dist #66 District - Ph:469-642-8708 512-463-0594 Fax:512-463-1021 Email:email@example.com With kind regards, Sharla Wooten

Bangladeshi Hindu Lives Matter, Your Signature May Save Few Lives
BANGLADESHI HINDU LIVES MATTER The inhuman and barbaric persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh is not a new phenomenon. These atrocities happen literally on a daily basis and sometimes in connivance with the administration. When the issue escalates everybody starts to protest using various social media platforms and subsequently the administration takes action against the perpetrators, fearing international outrage. This has been the general norm till date. But it is high time that the International community, especially India takes appropriate and permanent action and measures to eliminate these acts of religious subjugation of the Hindus in Bangladesh. There could be a three pronged approach to eradicate this problem. First demand is that Bangladesh should give away a portion of its territory to India / (India should take a portion of Bangladesh territory), where displaced Hindus of Bangladeshi origin could be rehabilitated and given adequate shelter. More than 49 million Hindus are missing in Bangladesh since 1947 and this number only reflects figures till 2002. The Hindus comprised 31% of the population at the time of partition. Presently the number is around 8% only. This demographic decline is largely attributed to the religious persecution of Hindus, who are either forcefully converted to Islam or are forced to flee their homes and give up their land to save lives and live in dignity. The second demand is a financial barter between the Government of India and Government of Bangladesh where these Hindus are rehabilitated with dignity using the barter fund. The third and the final demand is the deployment of army in line with peace keeping forces that are operational across the globe. The peace keeping force should be deployed under the aegis of the Indian Army. The primary objective of the army would be the protection of lives, livelihood and dignity of Hindus living in Bangladesh. Please sign this petition if you believe that Hindus in Bangladesh need our support and that the above demands are imperative for their survival.
Petition to Mike Crapo, Idaho State Senate, Idaho State House, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, President of the United States
We Need Signatures To Protect Idaho’s Wolves!
The Idaho House on Tuesday approved legislation allowing the state to hire private contractors and expand methods to kill wolves roaming Idaho — a measure that could cut the wolf population by 90%. Lawmakers voted 58-11 to send the agriculture industry-backed bill to Republican Gov. Brad Little. The fast-tracked bill that allows the use of night-vision equipment to kill wolves as well as hunting from snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles, among other measures, passed the Senate last week. Backers said changes to Idaho law could help reduce the wolf population from about 1,500 to 150, alleviating wolf attacks on cattle, sheep and wildlife. Opponents said the legislation threatens a 2002 wolf management plan involving the federal government that could ultimately lead to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service taking back control of managing the state’s wolves. Killing 90% of the Idaho’s wolf population is not the answer
