Petition to Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops
The Catholic Church in Canada must immediately fund the search and identification of unmarked gravesites in all of its former residential school grounds. Moving forward, the Church must issue a proper apology and reach settlements with the survivors of residential schools and their families.
The Catholic Church has not formally apologized for its major role in the residential school system in Canada. These schools weaponized evangelization and perpetuated unspeakable abuse of countless Indigenous children, tearing apart communities throughout this land.
This is not what Jesus taught. This is not the Good News.
This is not the time for words expressing deep sorrow.
Action is required.
Take the funds parishioners supply, and put them to real use; put them towards reconciliation. After all, reconciling with God requires more than just confessing our sins. The Church must repent by taking responsibility for its actions and doing something to repair the damage it caused.

On May 29, 2017, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with His Holiness Pope Francis at the Vatican. During this meeting, the Prime Minister formally asked the Pope deliver a papal apology for the Catholic Church's role in Indian Residential Schools.
On March 28, 2018 the Prime Minister received a letter from a senior representative of the Catholic Church in Canada, which stated that Pope Francis would not issue an apology. The Prime Minister told reporters that, "obviously I am disappointed in the Catholic Church's decision not to apologize for their role in residential schools." The Government of Canada will continue to advocate for a papal apology.Read more

The first ever residential school in American was established in Pennsylvania in 1789-1918 and in Canada, from 1831-1996. These schools were established by European missionaries with the sole purpose to assimilate Native American children. Children from ages as young as 3 years old-18years old attended these schools. These establishments and the people who ran them, abused the children who attended these schools. Often times, the children were stolen from their tribes and forced to attend. The sole purpose of these schools were to abuse and brainwash kids out of their culture and previous way of life. Not only were these children abused and brainwashed, many were murdered, died of starvation, committed suicide, etc. and when these children were murdered/died, the missionaries buried the bodies on the land. But heres the thing, the bodies were hidden in the land. The children didn't receive graves, their parents were not informed, and more often than not, the bodies were just thrown together as if they were trash and not human beings….
In recent events, 500 bodies (and rising everyday) of native Canadian children remains were found within the lands, of once fully operating residential schools.
tens of thousands of children went to these schools. Its more than likely that there are more bodies to be discovered. And since it is a known fact that America had at least 2x the amount of residential schools than Canada, and are also known for the genocide of first nations people, we demand that ALL previous residential school lands (standing and not standing) are searched.
These were children. Some as young as 3 years old. They deserved to be treated with respect, but hey were treated as less than human, and when their lives were cut short, they were discarded like trash. And the people who were in charge of these school knew exactly what they were doing when they tried to cover up the deaths. Hopefully in the Long run, we will see justice be brought to the organizations responsible. And that these poor children will receive justice and respect, they deserve. Read more

After finally telling them that we would absolutely not advertise with them the have removed all but 1 of our reviews. As many other small business owners can attest to, their business practices although not yet deemed illegal are surely unethical and not something I would expect Apple & Samsung to be associated with.
