    Petition to UK Parliament

Woman in the UK should be routinely checked for GBS (Group B Streptococcus) from 35 weeks.

Every woman in the UK should be offered a test for Group B Strep from 35 weeks. The bacteria can come and go so this would be the most accurate way of testing. On average in the UK, at least two babies a day develop a group B Strep infection one baby a week dies from their GBS infection, and one baby a week survives with long-term disabilities – physical, mental or both. The figures speak for themselves, its such a dangerous infection if contracted by a baby. iv seen first hand what it can do, our baby contracted it at birth, luckily quick actions by the doctors meant he was put on a course of antibiotics and treated successfully. Its not like it wasnt a hard road though it was the hardest week of our lives. Some babies arnt so lucky and i want to stop this. You can buy a test here, https://www.strepelle.com/ the cost is currently £39.99. hopefully with enough signatures this important change will happen. thank you for signing. please share.

Smear tests to be offered to young women aged 18 routinely to detect cervical cancer early

As you all know at present I am not very well, I am 22 this year and I have never been offered a smear test despite symptoms I am presenting. At present I am awaiting pathology results from a recent colposcopy procedure which will take anything up to six weeks to find out. Making this change is very close to my heart, it takes a couple of minutes to sign and support me. Whether my result be positive or negative I believe this needs to be changed to give younger females a better chance.

    Petition to this government

Stop people with learning disabilities dying while routinely refused coronavirus testing

New data by the Care Quality Commission has revealed a 175% rise in unexpected deaths in places where people with autism and learning disabilities live. The government portal does not allow tests to be booked for residents or staff because these people "don't meet the criteria". Testing is only available to people aged over 65 in care homes and people with dementia. It is completely and utterly shocking that in 2020 people with disabilities are being discriminated against by the government. The Care Quality Commission published figures that show a large rise in unexpected deaths in places where people with learning disabilities and autism live - 3,765 deaths when compared to 1,370 in the same period last year. It is most likely the huge rise in deaths at this time has to be because of the coronavirus. We don’t know what’s the cause of all the unexpected deaths in places where people with learning disabilities live because they are not being tested! My brother is 52 years old and was born with the condition Downs Syndrome. He has limited communication skills and will need to be cared for in a secure environment for his entire life. People like him are dying in care homes now, because they are being refused testing. These people are often overlooked because they cannot speak up for themselves. This must not be allowed to continue. The government must be petitioned to extend testing to all vulnerable people, regardless of age and mental or physical disability

Petition to The American Academy of Pediatrics

To routinely test blood glucose and A1C at all well and sick child doctor's visits.

This petition is to the American Academy of Pediatrics requesting that they would highly consider recommending that every child should have a blood glucose, A1C and urine test done at every well and sick child visit. The amount of children diagnosed in *DKA (Diabetic Ketoacidosis) is alarming; this should be unheard of in 2017, considering the medical advances in the world today. Together, we can make sure that another missed diagnosis doesn't occur- testing blood glucose and A1C regularly can and will do this. *What is DKA: "Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is a serious condition that is linked to diabetes. If you don’t have enough insulin to help your body process sugars (glucose), your body will start burning fat to fuel itself. As a result, acids called ketone bodies build up in the body."   **Know the signs & symptoms of Type 1 Diabetes** (They can show at any time, there is no cause, there is no cure.  Type 1 is an auto-immune disease that is not a respecter of age, race or gender.) Frequent Urination (including bed wetting) Extreme Thirst Headaches Blurry Vision Agitation/Anger Stomach Ache Vomiting Clamminess/Sweating Dizziness Nausea Unintended Weight Loss Exhaustion Hunger Fruity Smelling Breath (if you smell this on your child- head straight to the ER as it is a sign of DKA and immediate medical attention is necessary.)

Petition to Rishi Sunak, Chancellor of the Exchequer and Boris Johnson, Prime Minister

Axe #TamponTax now that we have left the EU!

Our Tampon Tax petition succeeded in 2016 when the UK Government agreed to end the sexist 5% 'luxury' tax placed on period products (including tampons and sanitary pads). But soon after this, the government claimed they could not end tampon tax due to EU regulation. Now that we have left the EU, we expect to see action.  Rishi Sunak and Boris Johnson, PLEASE end tampon tax now that you are legally able to do so and stick to your manifesto promise.
