My friend's retired parents don't have access to drinking water. Another friend's sick parents don't have access to their medical attender. My colleague's family didn't have time or money to stock up on supplies and are scrambling for the basics. This needs to stop!We are on a countrywide lockdown with little to no notice. Homes everywhere haven't had the time to stock up supplies, and panic hoarding has made things worse. Without access to essential supplies, the lockdown is bound to fail as people resort to desperate measures to get basic food, water, medical supplies for their homes. We need clear direction from the government to help provide access to supplies in an orderly fashion.
There are news reports of trucks with supplies stranded on highways that are being denied entry into cities. These goods are our lifeblood. There needs to be a control procedure to minimize the spread of infection but ensure the flow of goods.
There are reports of the police harassing essential goods store owners who stay open and delivery boys en route to make food/grocery deliveries. Services like Amazon, Big Basket, and Dunzo have stopped deliveries. Even Zomato and Swiggy are barely functioning. We need clarity on what is allowed and what is not allowed so that the police don't harass delivery boys and sabotage delivery services.
We need clear safe conduct protocols on accessing services like hospitals, grocery stores, and ATMs so that when we do get out for supplies, we minimize the risk of infection. Currently, the only call to action is to stay at home. There is no further direction on what to do or how to stay safe when you're NOT at home.
Please act quickly and provide the required communication and directives to the police and other public service organizations. Without your intervention, the viral pandemic crisis will degrade into a full-blown food-water-hygiene crisis as civilization itself breaks down in our country.Read more

Petition to Tumblr
TLDR: This petition is addressed to the Tumblr Community Officers as well as the base website developers. It can be signed by the general populus, regardless of whether or not you personally use the website. Signers would like to appeal to the content ban recently placed on December 3rd, 2018, that outlines a prohibition on pornography and other adult content on the Tumblr platform.
First and foremost, this petition is not created because I will be missing out on artists that I follow, or find it less convenient to use other platforms for digital media. In fact, I do not use Tumblr on a basis to where I would find the changes an inconvenience. The purpose for this petition is that I recognize there are other independent artists who care about his/her work, and likewise, followers who care about their art.

As of December 3, the official support Tumblr has posted a message regarding their updates to the Community Guidelines. The post is strictly focused around the adult content on the platform, and the changes being made to combat the exposure of it. Their definition of adult content is "photos, videos, or GIFs that show real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples, and any content - including photos, videos, GIFs and illustrations - that depicts sex acts."
Aside from other issues on the platform, such as the spam blogs that message users and image resolution reductions, Tumblr has faced some problems with the iOS App Store recently. For similar reasons, it has been removed due to the presence of explicit underage content that had bypassed the content filtering database being used by the platform. Additionally, there have been issues in the past regarding the censorship of adult content that have warranted the implementation of safeguards. For example, in June of 2017 the Tumblr staff introduced the 'Safe Mode' option, the first dedicated update since the dashboard filter that was introduced in March 2013.
The official staff blog for the platform claims that "There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community."
According to SimilarWeb, a website that provides web analytics services, Tumblr is ranked the 26th website in the United States (the location of its establishment) for the amount of traffic it receives. It is the 51st when compared to all the other websites in the world. SimilarWeb estimates that the greatest percentage of traffic for the platform is for the 'Adult' category. Another in-depth article from TechCrunch.com (focused mainly on the launch of Safe Mode) gives the statistic, "The measurement firm estimates that adult content drives 20.53 percent of clicks to Tumblr’s desktop site, compared with the next largest referring category, books and literature, which drives just 7.61 percent of clicks (Paragraph 4)."
Following the removal from the iOS App Store, Tumblr started removing blogs that contained 'adult content' without warning. Personally, I recall the removal of a specific blog whose artist was dedicated to keeping safe for work. Through his other blogs he had announced that it had been removed amidst all the other 'adult' blogs during what users called the 'Tumblr Purge.' Shortly afterwards and possibly from the community's backlash, staff began restoring blogs to their original state.
Many Tumblr users have also complained about the method in which Terms of Service/Community Guideline violations are handled. Currently blogs are instantly terminated without warning. Tumblr does not notify users of offending posts via email, cite guideline violations, or even offer a strike system similar to YouTube's copyright citation process. Additionally, the option to appeal - or even contact support - is also infamous for its automated responses and lack of effort. The platform's 'Safe Mode' option and 'adult content' filtering are also criticized for missing content that qualifies as such.
Ironically, today (December 3rd) it has been reported by multiple users on twitter that their dashboards contain promoted adult content, detailed by this article. There are also reports on Twitter claiming that Tumblr is hiding posts that contain specific tags. Specifically tags related to the Furry internet subculture. Tumblr's automation of their guidelines seems to be a key problem that the platform does not address (also seen here).
If this petition were to succeed and the Tumblr staff were to rescind their changes to the Community Guidelines, it could keep a sizeable portion of their userbase and as its always been, be a home for the works of artists and producers. Without them, the platform will most likely move forward and inevitably fall down the ranks in popularity - perhaps being replaced by another platform that will take advantage of the traffic Tumblr chose to surrender.

Warner Bros. Pictures hired Zack Snyder to direct a series of epic and realistic DC films and to start a shared universe of DC characters. Man of Steel was first in the series and although the critics bashed the film, there are plenty of DC fans who are in love with it, even to this day. The same thing can be said for its sequel, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, which was also directed by Zack Snyder. Again, the critics bashed this one but mostly because the plot didn’t make a great deal of sense to them and Warner Bros. Pictures are to blame for that, as they cut 30 minutes of important scenes/footage because they thought the movie was too long and “dark”. When Batman V Superman received negative reviews from the critics, Warner Bros. Pictures decided to release the “Ultimate Edition” with the 30 mintues of Cut footage put back into the movie. After doing this, the DVD and Blu-Ray sales went through the roof and the film made it into the All-Time Best Selling Blu-Ray list with Zack Snyder receiving apologies from many of the critics who bashed the film, saying they wish this was the version that was released in cinemas. You would think Warner Bros. Pictures would learn from this and not meddle with his movies again, but unfortunately they did.
Causing fans to campaign for the Release of the Snyder Cut but now that it's out Studio Execs continue to disrespect Zack Snyder and his vision and have failed to acknowledge Ray Fishers accusations on Joss Whedon whom many of the Co-Stars spoke up against and defended Ray Fisher yet despite all of this, WB continues to lie and treat Ray Fisher as a liar.
What the fans say is canon — is canon, Warner Bros could care less about what audiences enjoy and that is why the DCEU is failing it is because WB doesn't care about the fans, or have any respect for Zack Snyder who started this franchise, I urge WB to respect the fan base and listen to us and not let them silence our voices I urge everyone to sign this petition SPAM #RestoreTheSnyderVerse on Twitter, and get WB to listen to us the fans.

The Trump administration's proposal changes how critical habitat is defined, limiting protections for forests, rivers and other areas where endangered species could recover in the future.
You can't save species — and you can't stop the extinction crisis — without protecting the lands and waters where they can live.
The Endangered Species Act has saved 99% of the species under its protection.
From weakening the Act to dragging its feet on protecting individual species and pushing to dismantle protections for animals like gray wolves, the administration's assaults on the wild haven't stopped.
This rule will make it harder to save the areas where species like the northern spotted owl and dusky gopher frog could prosper. The administration is content to fence these imperiled species into small parcels of land, increasing their chances of extinction.
This proposal is a threat to wildlife and an unacceptable distortion of the Act itself. It must be blocked.
