Petition to Philip Hoare, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)
Zoos like the one showed in my video should be banned because all animals should be left to live freely in their own environment or in sanctuaries. Many animals in zoos like this die from sicknesses caused by the unsuitable climate, use of drugs and sedatives, unfamiliar parasites and also contact with humans. It isn’t fair for the animals and they shouldn’t have to live their lives in cages for human enjoyment.Read more

While millions of people are struggling to make ends meet, it's boom time for the very richest. Our rigged economy means that the vast wealth in our society is increasingly funnelled into fewer and fewer hands. A genuinely fair tax system would ensure that those with the broadest shoulders pay the most. Instead, income from wealth is taxed at lower rates than regular income. We believe it is wrong that the tax paid on profits when selling assets - Capital Gains Tax - is paid at lower rates than people pay on the wages they earn from going out to work day-in, day-out.  Simply equalising Capital Gains Tax rates with income tax rates would raise £17 billion per year. That could easily fund an inflation-matching pay rise for the nurses, teachers, ambulance drivers and all the public sector workers that the government was happy to clap not long ago. Ahead of the Budget on March 15, we call on the government to scrap this tax advantage for the richest and to instead tax wealth fairly and use the billions raised to give public sector workers a proper pay rise.Read more

Petition to Greg Abbott, Joe Straus, Lt Governor Dan Patrick, Diego Bernal, Texas State Senate, Texas State House, Ted Cruz, John Cornyn, US House of Representatives - Texas
Because of the public's negative reaction over the design team's solution for Alamo Plaza, and the projected cost that far exceeds HB 2968, I am requesting that the Governor requests the state auditor to audit the GLO/Alamo financial records including all 501c3's, and that the budget conference committee require that monies appropriated to the GLO for the Alamo not be used for anything other than required maintenance and operations until the audit is complete and the legislature has vetted the recently released Alamo plan.Read more

Petition to Students, Parents, CSULB
Why? CSULB has spent two years avoiding the changes necessary to adapt to this pandemic. I understand that I'm reaching out to students and parents who may not be on the same page on vaccinations, but one thing we can agree on is that our school, CSULB, is not putting in the work. We're paying full price for tuition has half the effort put into it, when there are SOLUTIONS other schools are doing to try to ensure safe in-person instruction. I'm starting a petition to send a message to our school president, Jane Close Conoley, that we need her to do her job better and to adapt to what's actually necessary to ensure safe in-person instruction Our demands 1. We should have optional virtual learning. This means that we should receive in-person and online instruction for ALL classes. If our students feel ill or are just worried they could infect their loved ones, they should be able to have a CHOICE to not attend schools in-person. 2. Weekly on-campus testing for ALL students and staff. Why are our sports departments they only ones getting weekly testing? If this was mandatory for all students we'd all feel much safer being around each other in a public setting. #ReuniteUsWithTheBeach Please tweet, post, this hashtag and @ our school. We deserve to ATLEAST attempt safe in-person instruction. If these procedures aren't set in place, there's no guarantee CSULB won't just take back their promise and force another two years of remote learning upon us.Read more

TW // child predator here is a link explaining everything he’s done  https://twitter.com/helenameia/status/1274372660965920777?s=21 Actor Jose Julian from The Society is a child predator sending explicit photos to minors while degrading them. He casually flirted with them multiple times and asked for their private instagrams. The victims are being unheard their bravery for speaking out is being unnoticed and that is not okay. He knew who he was speaking to and their ages. He would also flirt with extras of the tv show he’s on.       Additionally, under the Instagram post which holds strong evidence on his misdemeanor, Jose has tried to apologize but further ended up digging his own grave. His claims include that the reason why he asked for these people's real accounts was that fan accounts apparently hide identities. However, the fact that he decided to go the extra mile to ask for their personal accounts is highly disturbing. Given that a grown man like him can express his gratitude without requesting for personal information, there is no need for him to do so. Concerning, is it?   Moreover, his said "apology" is not dignified enough to be called one. Instead of directly addressing the issue, he has chosen to justify unjustifiable behavior. Provided that most, if not all, of the people behind the accounts he has been interacting with are minors, explicitly talking about sex and sending them a topless image (of which he claims to show off his new "hair cut") are just some of the numerous malpractices he has been doing for the past year. Is this really the kind of actor that should star on such a reputable show?Read more

Petition to Boris Johnson, UK Government, Matt Hancock
We are a group of NHS doctors and nurses calling for support as we face a dangerous pandemic. At times like this, we rely on the NHS and social care more than ever. But they have both been dangerously weakened by years of cuts. The shortfall in staff, equipment and beds mean we're not in the position we should be - and this will needlessly cost lives. That’s why we’re calling on the UK Government and devolved governments to urgently take the following measures to protect NHS workers and the general public: COVID-19 testing and personal protective equipment (PPE) must be available for all NHS and social care staff now Those relying on social care (or ‘Direct Payments’) must be given immediate support if carers go sick  NHS support staff (including those outsourced) must receive at least living wage, paid sick leave for illness or self-isolation and an increase in statutory sick pay  Bring private health resources into public service without compensation to fight COVID-19 and aid NHS response  Make all information that the Government is basing its strategy on wholly available for public scrutiny An immediate end to legislation enforcing eligibility checks and charging in the NHS, including those related to residency status or national origin, allowing all patients to use the NHS without fear 17,000 NHS beds have been cut since 2010 while private hospitals get 30% of their income from NHS patients on waiting lists. Tens of thousands of staff are outsourced from the NHS to private companies. Many have zero-hour contracts lacking the security of paid sick leave and face very difficult decisions to self-isolate and lose pay.  Undocumented migrants and others are told they are not eligible for free NHS care. Many fear approaching the NHS worried about unpayable bills or being reported to the Home Office. All of these are immediate dangers as we fight coronavirus.  As NHS staff, we know the pressures on staff even before Coronavirus hit and we know the fears of outsourced workers and undocumented patients facing economic hardship. We must value our staff and ensure their security and we must ensure our patients trust the NHS to treat them without reservation.  This pandemic shows that a thriving publicly owned and run NHS and social care sector are essential to ensure that all citizens have equal access to the best care. Indeed, a thriving state is essential for a thriving society. Please sign the petition to strengthen the NHS response to coronavirus.
