Petition to Philippines National Police
Drug killings are increasingly high
More than 300 people have been said to have been killed for just two months. More than 200 of them were killed in police operations, while the rest were killed by unidentified assailants. However it is definitely still increasing in number as it is everyday, it is undeniable that the content of the newspaper, radio news and television throughout the archipelago. Aside from the killings, it is undeniable that thousands of people have been hit by a user or pusher in the police force i fear that they will be killed. Of course, thousands of subordinates who still increase on the day are good signs. it is only to say that they now have the fear of people who have been exposed to illegal drugs, because they probably know the current administration to sweep illegal drugs. With the number of those killed, it seems that many people are in fear. It seems to be quite overwhelming, most of which if not fighting, snatch guns and for any other reasons. Many are Skeptical. Not surprisingly, since Pres. Well, I'm afraid of a series of killings that are happening. The PNP chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa himself is also suspicious of almost every day being killed in the operation. The Drug-fighting campaign is very good now that we see how serious the administration is suppressing it. Now we also see that fears are predominant among people who are dispersed or possessed. President Digong Himself has urged police personnel to pursue and terminate drug traffickers at the same time warning that all police operations should be implemented within the boundaries of the law. It is sill the right process of the law to prevail.

Petition to Florida Wildlife Commission
Add the increasingly threatened Warsaw Grouper to The Endangered Species Act!
The Warsaw Grouper is a rare species of fish which faces possible extinction due to overfishing by recreational and commercial fishing. Residing in the Western Atlantic Ocean, from Massachusetts to the Gulf of Mexico, down to Cuba, Trinidad and the coastline of South America, adults dwell at depths of 400 feet or more. They experience an extremely painful death by barotrauma (the bends) when hooked and pulled from those depths. They are already very susceptible to overfishing due to biological constraints. They do not mature until nine years of age. They can live to be forty years of age or older. This incredible fish can reach 7.7 feet in length and weigh up to 440 pounds. The Warsaw Grouper deserves a place on the Endangered Species Act list. The National Marine Fisheries Service already declared the Warsaw Grouper as a species of concern in 2010. Over ninety percent of Warsaw Groupers are caught in the Gulf of Mexico. There are over one million licensed saltwater fishers in Florida alone. The Warsaw Grouper cannot survive under these type of environmental pressures. If one species goes extinct, our entire ecosystem is thrown off balance. Please help protect the Warsaw Grouper by signing this petition in order to have it considered for placement on the United States Endangered Species Act!

Petition to Marie-Claude Bibeau, Justin Trudeau
Stop subsidizing Quebec's foie-gras industry.
French | English Foie gras literally means "fatty liver" and is produced by force-feeding ducks and geese abnormally large volumes of food via a tube that is rammed down their throats and directly into their stomachs. This causes the liver to swell to ten times its normal size. Their distended abdomens make standing difficult and impairs their breathing. These normally aquatic birds are kept confined in crowded sheds with no access to water for swimming. Besides the suffering inherent in these "standard industry practices", birds sustain injuries to their esophagus from rough handling. They can suffer from diarrhea, heat stress and lameness due to foot infections. Some suffocate on their own vomit. The production and/or sale of foie gras is prohibited in many jurisdictions including California, Israel, Germany, Norway, The UK and India. But, here in Canada, instead of banning it, we are subsidizing the industry. Please sign the petition telling Marie-Claude Bibeau, the Minister of Agriculture, you don't want your tax dollars supporting a cruel luxury item.
Petition to Mark Lazarus, Chairman, NBC Sports Group
Cancel Shark Hunters - Stop Supporting the Killing of Sharks
The NBC Sports show Shark Hunters glorifies and promotes the killing of sharks, amazing animals already under pressure from overfishing, finning and environmental pollution. And all three of the species hunted on Shark Hunters are listed as "Vulnerable" by The International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN). The show features three tournaments that give financial prizes for bringing in dead sharks from 3 species: mako, thresher and porbeagle. NBC should not be glamorizing the killing of vulnerable sharks under the pretense of "sport" or "sustainable fishing". Programs like this not only glamorize shark hunting and killing but also make the whole action "OK". Sharks play an important role in our oceans and if we continue to hunt them, our ocean'ss health will continue to decline. Change.org petitions have successfully convinced other channels, like National Geographic and the Discovery Channel, to cancel other violent hunting shows. I'm sure with enough signatures, we can get NBC to listen. Please join me in asking NBC and it partners to cancel Shark Hunters!

The following petition is in Italian, English and Spanish. English: More than a million per minute, 20,000 per second: these are the numbers of the plastic bottles purchased around the world. A lot of of these bottles end up in our oceans because of overpopulation, producers' and consumers' carelessness or because of the inadequacy of the structures designed for garbage disposal. The release of this huge amount of plastic into the sea (even the Mediterranean) and its consequent fragmentation into micro-plastic fibers, provokes enormous environmental damage which might affect citizens' health, since these fragments are ingested by all sorts of fish, ending up in their tissues and, often, also in the plates of consumers. We are all involved, since we all share this one planet and, although everyone's small choices surely make a difference, in certain cases 'greater' decisions coming from above are required. As well as what happened with plastic shopping bags in the past, it is now necessary to produce bottles for water and other drinks using only biodegradable materials, because they now exist (polylactic acid or PLA, for instance) and there are no more excuses, but those provided by some corporations which still find plastic a lucrative business. Whether you have children or not, please sign this petition. *On September 6th 2018 we started a collaboration with WWF Italy to reach our common goal together. Should you be interested in learning more, you could read the content of their petition here: https://www.change.org/p/giuseppeconteit-e-sergiocosta-min-rendiamo-plasticfree-i-mari-d-italia If you want to find out more about this topic: watch 'A Plastic Ocean', produced by Leonardo Di Caprio and read about the Pacific Trash Vortex. * This petition is part of a bigger campaign against disposable plastic production and misuse. Get toxic chemicals out of child care programs
Each year, more than 6 million babies and toddlers go to child care centers, Head Start programs, and family child care programs in the U.S. Child care providers should be able to take care of young children without worrying about whether the products they use contain chemicals of concern for children's health. Getting Ready for Baby is a campaign to ensure all baby and toddler products are made without harmful chemicals. Our goal is to help keep toys, cubbies, and nap mats made with chemicals of concern out of the hands of our kids. Excelligence Learning Corporation is the owner of retail companies specializing in child care products like Discount School Supply, Really Good Stuff, and Environments. Getting Ready for Baby started this petition asking Excelligence to step up and ensure the items its companies make and sell - like toys, cubbies, and nap mats - are free of harmful chemicals. We need them to go beyond the legal requirements alone and establish forward-thinking policies. Your signature can get these companies to stop using harmful chemicals. Don’t think that your support won’t matter. People like you took action and got major companies like Buy Buy Baby, Target, and Walmart to respond. Chemicals in toys, cubbies, nap maps and other products made for child care programs can contribute to learning and developmental problems, asthma and other breathing problems, weight issues, and even cancer, as children get older. Retailers target these products to child care programs all over the country. Walmart and others stepped up and started by prioritizing categories of product to review. They created lists of chemicals for product makers to avoid. And they did all of this with a spirit of openness and transparency. Now it’s time for Excelligence to do the same. If you agree that Excelligence Learning Corporation can help parents and child care providers protect their children’s ability to learn and thrive, please sign and share this petition today.

Petition to CITES Parties in attendance at CoP17
PETITION: Tell CITES to end trade in wild African Grey Parrots!
Thousands of wild African Grey Parrots are being trapped each year to fuel the overseas pet trade. The trade is driving the species to extinction, and it has to stop. From September 24 to October 5, 2016, representatives from around the world will meet in Johannesburg, South Africa, at the 17th Conference of the Parties to CITES (CoP17). There they will decide how wildlife can - and can't - be traded around the world. Alongside Elephants, Rhinos and Lions, the fate of another iconic African species - the Grey Parrot - will be hanging in the balance. Once widespread throughout Africa, over 1.3 million Grey Parrots have been legally exported over the past four decades. Many parrots are poorly treated and die before export; as a result, the true number of parrots taken from the wild is estimated at well over 3 million. A recent study in Ghana reported a severe decline in population in recent years of 90-99%. In the Congo Basin, falling numbers are driving trappers to move into ever more remote areas to find parrots to catch. Despite collapses in numbers, much of this trade remains legal. A number of African countries have recognised the crisis and are leading efforts to give these beautiful birds maximum protection under international law. We're just days away from a major meeting of the world’s governments where the fate of these parrots will be decided. Making international trade illegal would help safeguard the African Grey Parrot’s future. Now is our chance to urge all Parties to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Fauna and Flora (CITES) to support this action and protect this Globally Threatened Species from the unsustainable pressure of trapping. The survival of wild Grey Parrots is in the hands of CITES. The World Parrot Trust will be in attendance at the meeting to support the process; by signing the petition, you will add your voice to ours. Message to CITES: Move the Grey Parrot to Appendix I and end the trade in wild birds of this Globally Threatened Species for good. Please sign your name, share with your friends, and help us save thousands of wild parrots today!
