Many EPL members and supporters have recognised that the introduction of VAR since the 19/20 English Premier League (EPL) season has proved ineffective and often inaccurate.
These instances of inaccuracy and ineffectiveness can often be attributed to two key factors: inconsistency in decision-making and reserved communications between VAR and the in-game officials.
This first part of this petition requests both International Football Association Board (IFAB) and FIFA to work together to devise a solution that would increase the transparency and accountability of VAR.
Suggested actions include adopting similar technologies already used as part of rugby’s TMO system in which viewers will be able to listen to the VAR and referee exchanges of communication. By implementing such measures, EPL members and supporters will have a real-time understanding of how particular decisions are founded thus providing the transparency required whilst also removing any ambiguity.
The second part of this petition is to request that the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) provide additional support and training for match officials using VAR, and to re-communicate the guidelines for decision-making to EPL members, supporters and all officials.
By implementing such measures, EPL members and supporters can be confident of fair treatment whilst relieving unnecessary pressures from those officiating.Read more

Hello,
My name is Luke Mason and on October 15th 2017 I was involved in a serious hit and run involving a drunk, disqualified driver. He was ultimately sentenced to 2 years in prison despite almost killing both myself and a friend who was also seriously injured.
The aim of this petition is, simply put, to increase sentences offenders receive across the board in regards to dangerous driving.
The current sentences offenders receive are wholly inadequate and let countless victims and their families down everyday. It is absolutely vital that this petition receives as many signatures as possible as this will ensure that parliament will have a debate to change the current sentences offenders receive.
please help by signing this petition

Is the value of an ASHA worker just Rs33/day?
Vardhini( name changed) is an ASHA(Accredited Social Health Activist) worker from a rural district in Odisha. She delivers food, medicine, and emergency medicines to rural families. She also conducts door to door surveys and educates people about necessary precautions.
She works tirelessly to render essential health services in the district despite being vulnerable from the corona outbreak. Sometimes she and her friends spend money from their own pockets to buy masks, gloves, sanitizers, etc as they don’t receive these essential protective gear from the government.
But what does she get in return?
A meager remuneration of approximately Rs 1000 for corona virus-related work. This amounts to a meager amount of Rs 30-33/day.
Sometimes, there is a delay in receiving this incentive. And the monthly honorarium(wage) of Rs 2000 that she receives is inadequate for managing the expenses of her family.
This is the plight of an ASHA worker in a single district.
There are around 9 lakhs ASHA workers in India who are discharging their duties and working tirelessly for the wellbeing of the rural people.
But in these dire circumstances of the corona pandemic, they are underpaid and overworked.
The struggles of the ASHA workers have been overlooked by the government and there has been persistent institutional neglect towards their problems.
Our Prime Minister recently announced an economic package to assist the economy and our workers. Since ASHA workers are a crucial interface between the community and the health system, I would want the following demands of ASHA workers to be taken into consideration:
1) Increase in honorarium and incentives of ASHA workers
2) Timely disbursement of incentives
3) Adequate provision of masks, gloves, and PPE.
Given, that we have expressed our gratitude to our frontline health workers, it’s time to express our gratitude to our real wonder-women as well. And the way to do that is through ensuring that their concerns get their much-needed recognition.
Sign my petition asking the government to take Suo moto cognizance of the concerns of ASHA workers as they are not only contributing to our nation as health activists but play a vital role in ensuring the rural health mission runs smoothly.
Let's get together by signing and sharing this petition because #ASHAkiAsha matters!

Cuts have hit fire services all over the country overburdening stations for the last 10 years. But in addition now some firefighters are living below the poverty line. If their pay and work conditions are not addressed, we could face a crisis in this country, endangering many more lives.
10,000 firefighter jobs have been axed. 30% of budgets have been cut. 20% more cuts are scheduled by 2020. As a result response times are weakening and more deaths from fire are being seen.
And cuts are most likely why firefighters tackling Grenfell Tower fire had to work over 12 hours, when they recommended to not work more than four hours on one.
These cuts mean firefighters are expected to do more with the same pay - pay that is far below adequate and can put someone under the poverty line if they have a family of four.
