What is the Holodomor?The Holodomor was the man-made famine-genocide perpetrated by Joseph Stalin and the Soviet-Communist regime in 1932-1933 against the Ukrainian people, which killed millions of innocent men, women and children who perished from forced starvation.
What does the word ‘Holodomor’ mean?
The Ukrainian word "Holodomor" means "death inflicted by starvation" or "extermination by hunger".
Why have most people never heard of it?
Stalin and the Soviet-Communist regime set out to erase the Holodomor from history, by waging an international propaganda campaign to deny and cover up the truth about the regime's complicity in the Ukrainian genocide. At the height of the famine, while millions of Ukrainians starved, the USSR flooded foreign markets with grain exports and sought to prevent journalists from reporting on Ukraine's famine-struck heartland. For decades, the world was unaware of the policy contrived by the Kremlin to starve and break the Ukrainian nation.
Present-day Russia continues to deny the Holodomor. But more than 17 countries, including Canada, have recognized the Holodomor as an act of genocide perpetrated against the Ukrainian people.
To this day, the word "Holodomor" remains absent from major English dictionaries. But thanks to the work of thousands of journalists, historians, educators, and researchers, the word "Holodomor" has become an internationally-recognized term referring to Stalin's state-imposed genocidal famine of the Ukrainian people.

The TV Channels, Boris Johnson & Jeremy Corbyn want you make any TV debates in the run up to the UK General Election in Dec 12th a straight ‘head to head’ between the Conservative & Labour leaders.
These debates have been crucial in previous election campaigns and it is an affront to democracy to exclude the leader of the Liberal Democrats from the process too.
I am an undecided voter but I am outraged and disgusted by the plans to exclude Jo Swinson from these debates as I want to hear what she has to say in order to make my decision. I think we all deserve that opportunity.
It is also pretty questionable to exclude other smaller parties too and you ought to consider how to include them in the process also.
To the TV channels, respect your viewing public and their intelligence & widen the debate.

The HEALS Act was just unveiled today. Dependents of any age will receive the additional $500 (including college adult dependents). But there’s a catch. Those who claimed the dependents receive that additional $500 NOT the actual dependent.
Please read for more details.
Meaning, you still get nothing as an adult dependent and it’s up to your parents (or whoever claimed you) to decide if they want to give that additional $500 to you. TAX-PAYING ADULT DEPENDENTS ARE DESERVING OF THE FULL $1,200.
There are many college students who are claimed by their parents while in school, yet still fully support themselves; many who work full time and make ends-meet off of their own wages. Not only is there a huge majority of college students working full-time while going to school, but there are also many who have graduated from their undergraduate studies within the last year that fall under the status of a "dependent" because they were still eligible to be claimed due to their student status in the 2019 fiscal year. Given all of the hard-work college students endure, plus the given circumstances and our current economic, health, and societal state, dependents over the age of 17 should receive the full $1,200 stimulus check.
I am asking the Senate to reconsider the exclusion of dependents over the age of 17 from the second $1,200 stimulus check and revise the bill TO SEND TAX-PAYING ADULT DEPENDENTS THE FULL $1,200 STIMULUS.
For a Government that is looking to help stimulate the economy and aid in American prosperity by sending out a second round of stimulus checks, they are leaving out one of the most crucial and important generations of our time.
Please sign and share this petition as quickly as you can to get this to the Senate before their final vote. They have until August 7th to vote but looks as though they're moving quicker than that.
