My name is Sharona Levi. I’m from Elsipogtog First Nation which is located in New Brunswick, Canada. A little over 2 years ago on the 24h of February, 2018, a beloved member of our First Nation community, Brady Francis, was out visiting friends in a near-by town of Saint-Charles where he was struck by a vehicle and later passed away. His parents, Dana Francis also of Elsipogtog and Jessica Perley of Tobique First Nation both witnessed the tragic passing of their son as they arrived moments after the accident.
On April 28th of 2020, the judge gave her verdict after two years of court proceedings and acquitted him of all charges as she recited his defence of “he thought he had hit a deer”.
Brady’s Bill I am writing to you today in hopes that I have your support to have changes made in our Provincial Motor Vehicle ACT, in honour of Brady, that would make it legally mandatory to report any motor vehicle collusion with wildlife (ex: deer/moose and or bear) to any peace officer and/or Conservation Officer which will also include the duty to report as witness of the collision. This is to ensure that the defence of “I thought I hit a deer” is never to be used in our Judicial Justice System again.

Many poor or working class people paid for their children to attend trips with EFTours. Trips that were scheduled for March and April are postponed indefinitely, for obvious reasons. There are parents nationwide being given the option to receive a travel voucher, which they can’t use if not attending another trip with the school, or receive a refund less 1,000 because they have to cover fees for trips not taken. Parents all over the nation are feeling this. EFTours give us back our money because it hurts us more than it does you. The president instituted a ban stopping them from being able to travel. People are dying in mass numbers in Italy right now, which is where some of these tours were set to go. Why are we being penalized for something we have absolutely no control over? Would you be ok with this if it was you? Part of the reason you gave is that you have to pay people, we understand that, I just don’t understand why it on our dime. Additionally, at 1,000 per person you are more than covering wages and I’m sure in light of these catastrophic events some of these vendors etc. are refunding your fees. Furthermore, how far in advance are you paying for things for a particular tour that you can’t refund our money? You are taking advantage of an international crisis and you should make it right. We can’t even call in because you have adjusted your phone prompts. Eftours we implore you to do the right thing!Read more

Petition to Steve Bernal, Jail Ombudsman, Governor Newson, Board of Supervisors, Federal Bureau of Investigation, District Attorney of Monterey County, California Department of Justice
Monterey county jail killed my husband, Juan Carlos Chavez on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. He turned himself on Monday April 18, 2022 for an old warrant to get it cleared up. He turned himself in to Watsonville PD (Santa Cruz County). We thought the ticket was a traffic violation in Placer County. For some reason Monterey County picked him up at Watsonville PD, claiming the warrant was theirs. He had no cases, tickets or problems in Monterey County, at all.
*** Apparently, Monterey County Probation, claims he had a warrant for probation violation. Karlos used to be on probation in Monterey, however, his probation was transferred to Tehama County, months prior, where he had been reporting every month to his probation officer. They would've cleared up any warrants before transferring his case. Now Monterey county claims he was never on probation in Tehama County. They had revoked his transfer & i guess never told anyone. They had all his contact info & never contacted him. And Tehama County probation was very confused when I told them. He said "They requested a transfer. We accepted it. That's it."
That's what Monterey County claims his warrant was for. Even if that's the case, a probation violation, is no more than 10 days in Jail.
The jail said when he got to holding, he tried to hang himself with his shoes laces but they don't allow you to have shoelaces in holding.
On Friday, I picked up his things and in the sealed bag with his wallet and his belt, his shoelaces were in there and they're written on the intake form, as well. That was all written down and taken before he was placed in a holding cell Then, I waited 20 minutes for them to bring me the bag with his clothes and in that bag, there's some crusty nasty shoelace that didn't belong to him. I've never seen it before. Neither that shoelace or the pair of shoelaces that actually belonged to him, were stretched, knotted or look like 190 lb man tried to hang himself with them.
Then yesterday the coroner said they ruled his death a suicide. They claimed that he was in a suicide cell at the jail and he stuffed toilet paper up his nose and into his mouth and he suffocated himself to death. That is literally, not possible. They told me that on Wednesday when they found him there was toilet paper in his mouth. They didn't say anything about his nose and said they did CPR also, however, the coroner wouldn't have found toilet paper in his airways if they had taken it out to do CPR on Wednesday. The only way that this could have happened is if somebody held him down and held their hand over his mouth, with it in his mouth and killed him.
A person can not shove anything down their own throat. We have a gag reflex. You'd throw it up. Your body will react whether you like it or not. Our bodies will always try to survive. He would have coughed, struggled, and removed the toilet paper.... Unless he was restrained, in which case, someone did this to him.
This jail has a history of these deaths and lawsuits. This was not only due to negligence, this was murder.
My husband was a beautiful, amazing man. We had a good life and we're so happy. He had 6 children, a huge family and many people who loved him.
The people responsible for this need to be held accountable. The jail needs to investigate and find the who killed my husband and they need to have consequences. The Sheriffs office should not protect murderers, just because they work for them. They should be dealt with the same way that anyone else is. A murderer is a murderer.
I already spoke to the jail nurse who told me some very disturbing things she was the one who got called into his room that morning. She went into detail about how that whole night went in that morning. I talked to her for about 30 minutes then she called the next day to check on me again and talk to me for another half an hour... And she found me online I got a hold of me. She worked there four days and she quit because of this. Two days later, an article came out in the voices of Monterey Bay that had interviewed her. When I read it the story was completely different than the one she told me. Suddenly she had nothing but nice things to say about the jail cops..... Needless to say, kind of seems like someone had intervened and made her keep her change her story. when I tried to ask her a question her response was I don't remember anything. All I remember is what I told the reporter"
Police Safety Officers are not exempt because they have a badge. They are public servants, paid by the people to protect the people. If they are unable or unwilling to honor the oath that they took, then they are unworthy of the privelege, trust and respect that, that badge is supposed to represent.
And if that's the case, are any of us truly safe?

This is my mother who is 71 years old who suffers from "Long QT" syndrome which can be potentially fatal and the reason she had to retire from working.
My father, age 72 with over 40 years of Type 1 diabetes, chronic kidney disease and 2 separate knee replacements.
These are the people who through National Debt Relief, Gitmeid Law advised them it would be in their best interest to try to pay off close to $100,000 in credit card debt. My parents have no income, no assets (cars or houses) and scrape by on social security hoping their meager savings can cover their rising medical costs. When my parents ran out of money to pay them, Gitmeid Law referred them to Liberty Lending which suspciously has the same physical address as Gitmeid Law and National Debt Relief. Referring people with awful credit to try to take out a loan? Doesn't seem right. I've recently found information from an ex-employee calling their entire setup a scam. https://web.archive.org/web/20191229185806/http://spiralnotes.com/liberty-lending-llc-review/
Over the past year I just couldn't understand why my father stopped eating and often times, just seemed like he had no desire to take care of himself. The family thought it could be "diabetic burnout" but he always said everything was fine. I'm sure he just didn't want to stress out anyone else in the family.
There have been times where my parents had to choose between food and medical costs and I was still unaware fully what was going. Very scary that lack of food and/or medication in their cases can literally be life threatening. There were weeks where I would buy them groceries and I couldn't figure out why they had no money because they don't buy anything other than basic groceries, they don't take trips or even splurge on the occasional night out. I've messaged my concerns to "robert@gitmeidlaw.com" which is the email provided on their contact page but did not get a response. I've also voiced my concerns with National Debt Relief via Facebook who is now ignoring my messages.
There have been numerous other testimonials on: https://www.yelp.com/biz/national-debt-relief-new-york that make one question the legitimacy of Gitmeid Law's services. They even still take payments with a company called "Global Client Solutions" which has gotten in trouble in other states for "Unfair and deceptive trade practices" and also sued by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. https://alliedprogress.org/enforcement-tracker/action/cfpb-v-global-client-solutions/

Petition to President of the United States, Travel Channel, Crowder Janna
My name is Michael, I am a 16-year-old LGBT rights activist and GSA president.
Recently, the talk of conversion therapy (putting LGBT people in camps where they are forced to become straight, many times with the use of shock therapy) has become large due to Vice President, Mike Pence's claim to support Gay Conversion Therapy on teens in the US. Doing some research of my own, I discovered that only about TWO countries in the entire world have completely banned the use of Conversion Therapy (which did not include the US).
I'm making it my mission to help ban the practice of Conversion Therapy in the US and possibly help those in other countries who are suffering because of it.
Please help us put an end to this inhumane practice!!Read more

A staggering 97% of British wildflower meadows have been eradicated since the Second World War. This devastation of meadows is driving disastrous declines in our bee and butterfly populations. That’s why I’m calling on the government to urgently protect the remaining meadows before it’s too late.
Our entire ecosystem and food supply chain are heavily dependent on pollinators including bees and butterflies. We must protect what remains of our wildflower meadows because nearly 1,400 species of insects rely on meadow plants for their survival.
These beautiful meadows and the rare wildflowers within them are also a fundamental part of our natural heritage. I grew up around wildflower meadows near our home in Nottinghamshire, but I’m worried that my children and future generations may be deprived of this ancient feature of our countryside - unless we act now.
The remaining isolated fragments of meadows that have survived are home to an unprecedented richness of plant species that have evolved over millennia. We cannot let it slip away. And we cannot let our butterfly and bee populations continue to decline.
Please sign to tell the government to urgently draft environmental legislation to ensure that what remains of our meadows are protected - now, and after Brexit.
You can stay up to date on the campaign to save our magnificent but vanishing meadows at www.Plantlife.org.uk / https://twitter.com/Love_plants / https://www.facebook.com/LovePlantlife/
