Our appearances, as well as our personalities and attitudes, are one of the main things that identify someone as their own person in today’s modern society. Our identities are just that, OURS. We OURSELVES, choose how we show ourselves to the world, especially in our appearance and the way we choose the rest of the world to see us. This can include a number of many things, such as hair colour and styles, the clothes we dress ourselves in, small things such as make up or jewellery, and a variety of other many things. Our identities are our basic human rights, and what gives some teachers, or even a board of governors for that matter, ANY right at all to take that away from us? The point that I am trying to prove to everyone here is that, we should ALL be allowed to express ourselves in the way that we personally chose to, even if a bunch of adults may disagree with us. We have the right to present ourselves how we want without being judged or fought against. I can be very sure that a lot of my fellow students would agree with me on this, and if you do, sign the petition, as it would help a large amount. By doing this, I hope to make a change somehow, most likely and hopefully to the school. Thank you for your time.
