It is unfair to expect students to attend the exams without properly knowing what they will be facing. We as students can say that it has been difficult to grasp concepts through online classes and lack of personal coaching all year long. Students will fail to give their best without classroom sessions and proper guidance. It is unfair for the educational boards to conduct exams and expect students to put their best foot forward.
The petition pointed out that postponing the exams will hamper the natural flow of the academic year and put unnecessary pressure on students, who are already stressed out due to the pandemic, and added that cancellation of examinations will be the best solution. It also added that most schools and colleges have failed to complete even 50% of the entire syllabus meant for the academic year of 2020-2021 via online classes.

Palm Oil is used in 90% of products you see in stores today. It's an oil made from oil palm trees which primarily grow in tropical countries. There's a massive problem: it's extremely destructive. It creates mass deforestation and uses child and human labour. It is also causing thousands of animals like orangutans to become endangered or extinct. The way Wilmar (the main Palm Oil producer) harvests Palm Oil makes it impossible to re plant the rain forest to the way it was before, so we need to stop them before its too late! Girl Guides uses Palm Oil in their cookies. We can swap to a more sustainable oil. I am a part of Girl Guides of Canada and am trying to get them to change their recipe as well. I already sent them an email (over a year) explaining the same information as here and got no response. I am hoping you will sign this to help me get my message across to a great organization that helps women around the world. Foie gras literally means "fatty liver" and is produced by force-feeding ducks and geese abnormally large volumes of food via a tube that is rammed down their throats and directly into their stomachs. This causes the liver to swell to ten times its normal size. Their distended abdomens make standing difficult and impairs their breathing. These normally aquatic birds are kept confined in crowded sheds with no access to water for swimming.
Besides the suffering inherent in these "standard industry practices", birds sustain injuries to their esophagus from rough handling. They can suffer from diarrhea, heat stress and lameness due to foot infections. Some suffocate on their own vomit.
The production and/or sale of foie gras is prohibited in many jurisdictions including California, Israel, Germany, Norway, The UK and India. But, here in Canada, instead of banning it, we are subsidizing the industry. Please sign the petition telling Marie-Claude Bibeau, the Minister of Agriculture, you don't want your tax dollars supporting a cruel luxury item.
