Princess Marina House in Rustington is a house where members from the RAF, who played a vital role in World War 2, and even current members of the RAF, go for holidays as the members from World War 2 are elderly so can’t go on holidays where we would normally go.
There are many carers there that look after all of the people that come to stay. They do many activities and it is right by the sea so there is a beautiful view and they go down to the beach. The care at this house is amazing, and the staff are so nice and willing to help at any time of day. There are so many activities that can be done here, including entertainers that come in and perform.
Sadly, the Board of Trustees have decided to close Princess Marina House - this means that the people who fought for us in World War 2 and who fight for us currently don’t have anywhere to go on holiday. My Great Grannie comes here every year and absolutely loves it. This is an important cause to me because it is important to her - she won’t be able to go away anywhere now with care such as good as the care at Princess Marina. Family can come and join the residents for a meal, and the people who stay can meet a multitude of people who can share similar experiences. This helps them make friends and can relate their experiences with other people.
In conclusion, this is such a wonderful place for people who helped save our country in World War 2 and now and gives them the care and lovely holidays that they deserve. We can’t let them close because my Great Grannie, along with many other people, absolutely love coming here, and after everything they’ve done for us, it’s the least we can do for them.
