Stop the use of real Fur in the fashion industry GLOBALLY

Here are nine shocking facts about fur that will make you think twice about wearing the corpse of any animal: 1. Electrocuting fur-bearing animals anally and genitally is an agonizing slaughter method used frequently in order to limit damage to the fur. New York is the first state to have banned this inhumane method. 2. Eighty-five percent of the fur industry’s skins come from animals who were held captive on fur factory farms, where they were crammed into severely crowded, filthy wire cages. Many were later beaten or electrocuted—and sometimes even skinned alive. 3. There are no penalties for people who abuse animals on fur farms in China, which is the world’s largest fur exporter, supplying millions of dollars’ worth of finished garments to the U.S. 4. One billion rabbits are killed each year so that their fur can be used in clothing or for lures in fly fishing or trim on craft items. 5. In China, there’s a thriving cat- and dog-fur industry. Cats and dogs are bludgeoned, hanged, and sometimes even skinned alive for their fur. Their fur is often mislabeled and exported from China to unsuspecting consumers around the world. 6. Fur farms harm the environment. Millions of pounds of feces are produced annually by U.S. mink farms alone. One dangerous component of this waste is nearly 1,000 tons of phosphorus, which pollutes nearby rivers and streams 7. There are no federal laws to protect animals on fur farms in the U.S. 8. After an animal has been slaughtered, his or her skin is treated with toxic chemicals to keep it from rotting and decomposing in the buyer’s closet. According to The World Bank, the hazardous process of fur dressing is so problematic that the fur industry is now ranked as one of the world’s five worst industries for toxic-metal pollution   9. Although most animals killed for their fur are raised on fur farms, millions of raccoons, coyotes, bobcats, beavers, and other fur-bearing animals are killed every year by trappers. The steel-jaw trap, which the American Veterinary Medical Association calls inhumane, is the most widely used trap. It’s been banned by the European Union and a growing number of U.S. states   ©PETA / Karremann

Boycott jollychic, Shein, Guess, Versace, Carolina Herrera etc..

ProblemWe are the people feel it's necessary to boycott brands that promote Middle Easten social media figures in advertisement who stood against Arabic women rights just because it is traditions. This list includes: Noha Nabil, Model Roze, Rawan bin Hussian, and malak Alhussiani. For instance, Noha Nabil thinks that as females we have to be enslaved by our families because that's our regional culture and we should "respect" their culture and traditions even if it limits our freedom. It is actually affecting daily life of millions of females under the male guardianship system in Arabic gulf countries. Noha came from an open-minded family; she never experienced what we face in every single day and recently she made videos wanting to teach us how to be obedient to male guardian and stay silent! She is a perfect example of how fame and wealth could make you forget principles and corrupt your basic moral values... Long story short, "these social media figures don’t care about female rights." It's not about her in particular, it’s about supporting these oppressing traditions, male guardianship system. We will no longer tolerate her unbalanced idea contaminating the energy of dedicated fans and young followers. We ask all concerned and bothered people to boycott jollychic, Shein, Guess, Versace, Carolina Herrera Until they choose better people to represent your brand, and block these representative in social media:  #boycottjollychic #boycottShein #boycottGuess #boycottVersace #boycottCarolina Herrera#مقاطعة القرشي #مقاطعة نمشيSincerely,The People في وقت يتجه العالم لأخذ موقف أخلاقي مطالبًا فيه شركات وعلامات تجارية بتحسين أوضاع العاملين لديهم، تندد نساء الوطن العربي بالخطاب الذي يدعو لقمع المرأة، وقبل أسبوع قامت إحدى الأوجه الإعلانية للعديد من الشركات بتصوير مقطع استفزت به النساء ضاربًة بمُعاناتهن وإنسانيتهن عرض الحائط وقالت فيه أنه لا يحق لأي منكن أن يرتفع صوتها مطالبة بحق من حقوقها، فإن هذا يجعلها غير راقية وأن الرقي أهم من الحقوق وقد اعتزمت مجموعة كبيرة من النساء مناهضة هذا النوع من الخطاباتحيث أنها لم تكن المرة الأولى التي يتسلق فيها المنتفعات على أكتاف النساء وآلامهن، وقد عزمنا على إرسال خطابات لجميع الشركات ونبتدأ حملة المقاطعة لهذه الشركات حتى يتخذوا موقف.

To have minimum 1 female pattern maker per garment factory or fashion house in India.

Have you ever wondered who makes patterns for your clothes? What is a pattern and why is it important? The traditional Indian Khandaani Darzi system has been responsible for producing the most trusted and respected masterjis across generations. The legacy of the skill and value gets passed on to another man, women remain excluded from the power of decision making and livelihood. Women cannot even imagine themselves being masters or leaders, let alone have this basic skill. The industry acknowledges roughly 1 pattern maker to every 300 stitchers. Women are confined to silai machines and estranged from the power to make their own decisions and use their creativity. It is so difficult to bring them to the pattern making tables. But when they do become pattern makers, they are not hired by the industry. Patterns are the basic building blocks of garments from which hundreds of thousands of garments are cut.  Without any women pattern makers as role models, women have not been able to claim any dignified space at their place of work, in their homes, or even in their communities. The absence of livelihood or job opportunities discourages them from learning the skill. In the 21st century when we are emphasizing skilling women, this exclusion of women pattern makers gets inherited across generations. This leaves the 27 million women in India’s garment factories on the lowest rungs, without the imagination to break free, become equal or realise their creative potential.  This is what inspired MasterG and Daughters. We want women to be trained as pattern makers, to realise their potential and get their rightful place in the industry. But we can only make a difference if employers come together with us and imagine a future with women pattern makers.  Please sign our petition asking the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, garment factories, and various decision-makers of the apparel industry to commit to employing at least ONE pattern maker. We are willing to provide the support required to train and induct them.  We are driven by the will to break out of existing societal patterns. With a democratised opportunity to work and earn a dignified living, we aspire to build generations of pattern makers. We can’t do it alone, we need your support and the promise of decision-makers to make our dream come true, to make the dream of hundreds of young women pattern makers come true. Your support gives us hope that in our generation the role of the patternmaker will be one of equal opportunity for men and women.
