On July 7th, 2019 a drunk driver crossed the yellow line and collided head on with an oncoming vehicle. The collision resulted in the death of Sandra and John Lush. Their daughter, Suzanne, and her boyfriend, Josh, sustained life threatening injuries, leaving Josh paralyzed.
On February 1st, 2021 the accused was set free because he was not read HIS RIGHTS properly. The facts of the case are substantial and a trial is warranted.

My aunt Alice has a rare cancer. It's called gestational trophoblastic disease and only one person every few years is diagnosed with it. For the past 18 months Alice has been through chemotherapy and surgery but unfortunately the cancer is still there. Now she is hoping a new treatment could save her life.
Alice's medical team at Charing Cross Hospital in London want to try a drug called Ipilimumab, which works by enhancing the body's own immune system. It is already used to treat advanced melanoma.
Alice's doctor is an international expert in this type of cancer. He believes that this treatment has a good chance of success and could cure Alice of her cancer. But Alice's doctor's application for funding to use the drug on her was refused.
Alice's cancer is extremely rare. Giving my aunt this treatment could not only save her life but it could also help others as it is a unique opportunity to trial the drug.
Alice is 47 years old and mum to two children. She is a secondary school maths teacher and she is fighting for her life. It seems that her only chance for life is being denied because of costs.

For far to long this herbal plant and it's cousin hemp have been criticized, mocked, criminalized, labeled as a gateway drug, and destroyed. In my opinion as I'm sure I can speak for many others, marijuana is no more of a gateway drug then prescription medications the children can get their hands on or any other drug for that matter that anyone can get their hands on! It's far safer a choice than alcohol!

Some would say it is a miracle plant, that nature has provided. The earth has provided us with everything we need to survive and live. cigarettes, alcohol, and prescription drugs are the top 3 leading causes for Americans deaths. Yet the government and their allies The pharmaceutical companies have pushed these drugs to the public. Increasing the death rates by hundreds of thousands yearly. while for over hundreds of years this plant has been smoked. Today still no one has confirmed a death related to this herb. It is safe to say that you cannot die from this herb (notice that i say herb) cause that's exactly what it is. While this is just a small amount of information to consider. This herbal medicine from the earth has been curing and aiding so many with mental and physical complications. when the weight of the world is upon you, Anxiety, CPTSD, Bipolar, Cancer, and other worldly problems. I know that people look for away to escape having to think so much, worry about how to take the pain away. Many take on many bad habits that leads to death. such as drinking, smoking cigarettes, and overdosing on pain meds, not to mention the plethora of harmful side effects that come with prescription medications. Why should we the people have to argue with congress and the government that we prefer a safer option when dealing with issues of life. Marijuana is the answer and studies have proven that this plant is medicinal. How many can say that about alcohol, cigarettes, and pain medicine? We the people are petitioning the US government to legalize this plant in each and every state and stop criminalizing it, and harassing us for picking a medicine that actually helps. Why make a war on an herb from earth does not make any sense. Cannabis is a Schedule I drug according to the Controlled Substances Act of 1970, which classified cannabis as having high potential for abuse, no medical use, and not safe to use without medical supervision. The problem with this is that the government failed to tell the people the TRUTH. Lets take a look at some of the facts. According the USPTO ( United states patent office) US Patent# 6630507 titled “Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants” The patent claims that “Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties, unrelated to NMDA receptor antagonism. This new found property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and HIV dementia.” This is the truth!!!!!They've known this for hundreds of years and have purposely locked away and even killed people for this plant. They didn't see a way to make profit from it so they made laws to criminalize it. When the reality of the situation is that they have secretly been making medicine from this plant and just not telling Americans. Remember the government works for us and not the other way around. People have spoken and stated what we want, they have no choice but to listen. So many people benefit from this, cancer patients, ptsd victims, and all of mankind. Everyone has there reasons for wanting as well as a need for this plant legalized. We have to stop allowing laws to pass that do not help and aid the American people. How many more people are going to die this year related to tobacco? The government allows this to be legal!Too many and that's the argument for the government today. They can legalize this herb in all 50 states. The people have spoken and we demand that our request be granted. Think how many people are behind bars that taxpayers pay for because of the US laws that are outdated and there stigmatized outlook on this plant. It's beyond the age of ignorance. It's time for every single American to fight for our rights and liberty as our forefathers have entitled to us. End marijuana prohibition once and for all. The main statement behind this is that too many people are dying and suffering that don't have to. We have been educated wrongly and lied to for far to long! It's time to help the world! Allow this plant and it's cousin Hemp to help the world. Any government official that does not agree with the facts and wonders of these plants need to be removed from their seats. We are being held back from evolving as mankind and it's only for money. Things need to change and these petitions are steps to a better world. Legalizing it medicinally especially in New York has been futile. Insurance companies will not cover it, making it an expensive out of pocket cost which most Americans cannot afford. Then to get the approval, the amount of hoopes that you have to go through to get approved for it is daunting, tedious, & down right impossible. The two dispensaries that we had, have went out of business because of governmental red tape wasn't thoroughly ironed out as they say. Now there's only one place that you can go to get it but you have to see physician after physician it's just not worth it.

On Friday, August 31 2018 the University of Illinois at Chicago announced that they will drop women’s and men’s gymnastics at the end of the 2018-19 season.
This drops the number of NCAA Division I schools with men’s gymnastics programs to 15. In 1969, as a point of reference, there were 212 programs. There are 61 Division I women’s gymnastics programs. That’s down from a high of 179 in 1981. On November 18, 2018 UIC announced that in order to fully endow the men's and women's programs, the teams must come up with $25.2 million by March 15, 2019.
To all in the gymnastics community, this is devastating news. For 70 years the UIC gymnastics program has been a great source of pride and history in the city of Chicago and all over the United States. GymnasticsVille interviewed gymnasts, parents, and fans from all over the country to get their thoughts about the announcement.
We urge the University of Illinois at Chicago to lead the way towards keeping the rich tradition of gymnastics in the city at the collegiate level. We know you can do this! We join other organizations and gymnasts from around the world and ask you to:
Recommit to the UIC men’s and women’s gymnastics teams for the 2020 season and beyond. Petition to Vue Cinema
This petition is to reverse the wrongful removal of the film 'Blue Story' from all UK and Ireland Vue cinemas.
An incident broke out between girls in Birmingham at Vue Cinema while people were lining up to see Frozen 2. It later escalated to youths fighting in the cinema and the police being called.
No one condones this sort of violence. The perpetrators have been caught and should be dealt with by law enforcement.
In a nonsensical response, Vue cinema have decided to pull the new film ‘Blue Story’ from cinemas across the country. Despite there being no evidence yet reported that the children had seen the film. ‘Blue Story’ actually has a direct message against gang violence and explores the devastating repercussions of it.
After watching the film yesterday I believe it is outrageous for ‘Blue Story’ to be removed from cinemas and blamed for the stupidity of several youth fighting.
Vue hasn’t taken the same action with any other films that explore violence, like ‘Joker’.
This is an important film by a young black filmmaker that is being unfairly scapegoated.

UPDATE: Michael Gove has promised to make “any necessary changes” to UK law to recognize that animals can feel pain, however we can't trust that we will get the animal rights that this country wants until something is in law. We need to keep up the pressure on the Government to ensure animal sentience is put into law.
Under EU law all animals are considered sentient (meaning they are beings that feel pain). This law is there to protect the welfare of animals. MP Caroline Lucas had submitted an amendment clause (NC30) to the EU (Withdrawal) Bill, which sought to transfer the EU Protocol on animal sentience into UK law, so animals continue to be recognised as sentient beings under domestic law.
Not allowing this amendment could see animal welfare go backwards instead of forwards allowing unethical exploitation of animals for hunting, battery farming and inhumane slaughtering for food.It flies in the face of commonly held scientific belief that animals do feel pain and have emotions.
This is not a matter of left or right wing politics it's about protecting animal rights and coming together to ensure that animals maintain sentient status in UK law, to protect animal welfare. As Ben Fogle said "dogs are much smarter and more emotional than politicians believe them to be." The UK is still among the highest animal testing nations on the planet with 3.9 million testing procedures carried out here in 2016. Regardless of what has been claimed about how good our animal laws are we are ranked the 7th highest animal testing nation. I do not trust that the animal welfare we are petitioning for will be delivered by our government without the EU Protocol on animal sentience as a basis for improving animal welfare laws moving forwards.
