    BRINGING PALESTINE BACK ON MAP

hello.  Yesterday unfortunately, google and appel removed palestine from the map, even in countries that don't support Israel / don't have the ambassador of israel they still can't find palestine on map.  Taking a country out of map is like denying its history, country like palestine, has its glorious history, beautiful cultures, strong and good people.  Lot of people don't pay attention to what's   happening to the innocent children and women are getting killed everyday by Israeli soldiers, like what happened that day to goerge floyd it's happening every single day to an innocent civilians of palestine.  While those soldiers have guns. Palestinians defend themselves with rocks.  Not just killing, but stealing lands, stealing mosques, stealing the culture and even food (tahine...) and traditional dance (dabke..) And stealing hope from their eyes If you believe in "no justice no peace" For the every single human, remember Palestinians are humans as well, they need help , it doesn't matter if you are Muslim or arab, it doesn't matter if you are black nor white . Help them. Use your voice to reach the truth to reach justice to reach peace May allah protect my second country, may Allah protect Palestinians. And remember that day, when the world ends, the truth will appear, have hope, you are in our duaa inshallah

BRINGING BILLIARDS TO THE OLYMPIC GAMES

FRANÇAIS / ESPAÑOL / 中文 / 日本語 / DEUTSCH / 한국어 / ITALIANO / РУССКИЙ This is the official campaign to bring billiards as an additional sport to the Olympic Games. The World Confederation of Billiards Sports (WCBS) is running a campaign to prove the worthiness of billiard sport to the International Olympic Committee. On the 21st of March, 2018, The WCBS officially presented to the IOC the candidacy of billiards as an additional sport to the Paris Olympic Games 2024 in full cooperation with the host country’s Fédération Française de Billard (FFB)   Do you know a sport that requires concentration, relaxation, lucidity and precision? This sport exists: it's billiards. Do you know an intergenerational, friendly, educational and beneficial sport for your health? This sport is still billiards... Do you know a sport where you can anticipate, design, attack and defend? It's still billiards ! Whoever you are, you can play billiards anywhere in the world. If you are Mozart or Einstein you liked playing billiards. If you are a teenager with the skills of a chess player and the touch of a pianist, you will be a billiard champion... Whether you enjoy playing pool, 3-cushion, snooker, blackball, 5-pins, carom, pyramid, chinese pool ... You are a part of the universal community of billiards sports. Billiards has all the assets of an Olympic sport. To become one, we need your support. Sign this petition and have it signed around you so that billiards will be in Paris in 2024.

    Bringing me home.

My name is Alberto Zavala, I am (44)-years old and I've been incarcerated for the past (18)-plus years. I was charged and found guilty of First-Degree Murder & Home Invasion under the "Theory of Accountability". Although I wasn't the actual perpetrator that committed the crime, I still hold myself responsible for what transpired, because my actions caused a domino effect which led to the demise of a man. As a man I have no excuse for the role I played nor will I try to justify such, but I do own what I have done and for that I'm truly sorry. At this juncture of my life, I might not be the man that I 'should' be, but I'm definitely not the man that I 'used' to be and that is why I am humbly asking that I be given a second-chance to be a free man again. I am now seeking for my time to be considered served through a Clemency/Commutation, due to the fact that this Covid-19 is running rampant and I don't want to fall victim to this virus, "especially" since I have two underlying health-issues (high cholesterol & high blood pressure). Throughout my incarceration I have read hundreds of self-help books and accomplished many things, like being a mentor to those that need guidance, are not fluent in English, as well as to those that are on their way to going home. I have completed a handful of programs/classes which have allowed me to obtain several Certificates. Moreover, I have held six different detail-jobs, from being a Hallway-worker at the Cook County Jail, to recently being on the frontlines of the Covid-19 Deep-Clean Crew, while here in Stateville. My disciplinary report is impeccable, being that I only have one infraction, where I was given a verbal-reprimand. So this in itself speaks volumes of the person/man I am now, based on my rehabilitative state of mind. The reason why I am seeking a Clemency is because I truly believe I'm deserving of a second-chance at redemption through my actions and not by mere words. I don't want to die here and my objective is to be reunited back with my two exceptional teenage son's, my esteemed brother's, and spend the remaining years my dear parent(s) have on this earth, taking care of them, as they took care of me. I am not the worst of the worst and beyond redemption, I am not a monster who threatens the very fabric of society, so "please" advocate for me by signing this online petition. Thank you for your support. Respectfully, Alberto Zavala #R-53809, Stateville Correctional Center, P.O. Box 112, Joliet, IL 60434. Saludos, Alberto Zavala

About bringing Azerbaijan to the international tribunal for crimes against humanity

To: International Criminal Court Po Box 195192500 CM, The Hague The Netherlands On behalf of the citizens of the world, we request the Honorable Tribunal to initiate an investigation into the crimes committed against the Armenian people by Azerbaijan in the years 1988-2020. The crimes against civilians began in 1988 in Sumgait. The Armenian civilian population was then murdered. It was the beginning of the war for Nagorno-Karabakh (Armenian lands for 2800 years where 99% of the indigenous people are Armenians. On September 27, 2020, Azerbaijan attacked civilian villages, murdering the Armenian population. Armenia was not the agent of aggression. He only defends himself. We ask the Court to bring those responsible before it. In the name of World Peace.   initiator of the action: Tomasz Lech Buczek author of the book The Cry of the Armenian Mother Genocide in Sumgait 1988

USM's UPD Bringing Back Campus Escort

Hello Everyone! Recently, the issue of sex trafficking has been at an all time high, especially around the USM campus and surrounding areas, which has been trending on Twitter in the Hattiesburg area and around the US. This year, the University Police Department, UPD, has stopped the actions of campus escort once it hits dark. As a female, I feel as though this should brought back only because of my safety. Like myself, I do not feel safe on the University of Southern MIssissippi's campus anymore because of this. This is also because UPD no longer has officers sitting in the booths at the dorm gates, nor do they patrol around the campus after 5 pm.  To my fellow students, we all know that there aren't as many student parking lots, in which we all have to park in the parking garage and/or commuter parking lot, and walk the long distance to our cars if we have night classes. Would you all like to at least, especially ladies and some male students, have a campus escort since we are not allowed to carry pepper spray or tasers on this campus? Wouldn't you all like to, at least, feel safe on this campus again?  If you sign this petition, you are not only making a impact to make our campus safe again, but making future students who see what we post on social media, Twitter for example, want to come here?

Stop Bringing Animal Circuses to Fraser!!!

These circus animals endure the worst life an animal can live! From constant traveling year round, day after day, in confined spaces, hour after hour, no air ventilation/windows in trailers, sleeping and living in their feces, inhumane and abusive training, the list goes on.  See for yourself...... Kelly Miller Circus has received numerous citations for animal neglect and abuse. http://www.mediapeta.com/peta/pdf/Kelly-Miller-pdf.pdf As a resident of Fraser, I am concerned about both public safety and the humane treatment of animals. Please sign my petition again asking the Fraser Lions Club to stop inviting cruel circuses to Fraser and support an “Animal Free Circus” instead. I want to collect as many signatures as possible on this petition to make sure we are heard! Did you know??? *Tigers naturally fear fire, but they are still forced to jump through hoops in some circuses and have been burned while doing so.  *Trainers use whips, tight collars, muzzles, electric prods, bullhooks and other painful tools of the trade to force animals to perform. *In more than 35 dangerous incidents since 2000, elephants have bolted from circuses, run amok through streets, crashed into buildings, attacked members of the public, and killed and injured handlers. *11 months a year they travel over long distances in box cars with no climate control; sleeping, eating, and defecating in the same cage. *Virtually 96% of a circus animal’s life is spent in chains or cages. *During the off-season, animals used in circuses may be housed in small traveling crates. Such confinement has harmful psychological effects on them. These effects are often indicated by unnatural behavior such as repeated swaying, and pacing. Fraser is a wonderful community that values family and responsibility. I do not believe that perpetuating the inhumane treatment of animals is in line with what Fraser stands for.

My father, Kenneth Bae, breaks his silence aboutNorth Korean Special Labor Camp

For those of you who helped to carry the voice of release for my father successfully to the Obama administration, I wanted to thank you again for your big hearts.  Since his Nov '14 release he refused interviews about what happened, but now he's breaking his silence about the experience inside one of the most secretive countries in the world and what life was like thinking about the likelihood of living out his sentence of 15 years of hard labor for anti-government activities.   He has been heartbroken that others have also been imprisoned like Canada's Pastor Lim and Otto Warmbier and encourages you to join him in advocating for them as well.      Since you were personally tied to the story I wanted to give you a heads up that he'll be on CBS Network news both in the morning and evening telling his story on May 2 in conjunction with the release of his memoir, Not Forgotten.  Other key outlets that helped to raise his profile like CNN will follow as well as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and more.  He's not doing this to elevate his profile as he's really a bit uncomfortable with all the attention but hopes that when people hear his side of the story that they'll better understand that country and be inspired by God's faithfulness in our darkest hours.  I hope you'll be able to watch and hear that he still has a deep love for the people of North Korea. You can track more about this on www.notforgottenbook.com Thank you and please offer your support to other political prisoners around the world.

PGCPS bringing back our Spring Break

We should deserve a spring break instead of making up the days of school. PGCPS should just take our summer days like they usually do. They don’t want us to have spring break. They force us back to school when some people are on vacation (like out of state) or don’t want to come. PGCPS should take note: remove summer days like you guys usually do, and let us have our spring break in peace.      UPDATE 3/29/18: WE GOT OUR SPRING BREAK BACK.

Bringing Basic Goodness to the Border

As a Shambhala community, we are watching with a sense of horror and despair as the government of the United States implements its policy of separating children from their parents at the Mexican border. As an international Buddhist community, Shambhala condemns this inhumane and brutal policy. We also recognize and condemn violence towards refugees in any part of the world. In April of 2018, Attorney General Jeff Sessions began implementing the United States “zero-tolerance” policy on immigration. Under this policy the Department of Homeland Security can refer any adult “believed to have committed any crime, including illegal entry” to the Justice Department for prosecution. Illegal entry is considered a misdemeanor and in the new policy people can be deported for misdemeanors alone. While adults are apprehended for prosecution, they are separated from their children. The children were being placed in the custody of the Office of Refugee Resettlement in the Department of Health and Human Services. They spent an average of 51 days in a shelter while they await placement with a sponsor in the United States. On 6/20/18 this policy was banned by executive order. We are glad that the president of the United States has made this new executive decision but recognize that more than 2,300 children have already been separated from families, with no plans on reuniting them. The new executive order now allows children to stay with their families, however, this means children will also be placed in jail cells, and in some cases indefinitely. As Shambhalians, we want to ensure that such inhumane practices never occur in our country or in the world. We do not support the incarceration of entire families. We have seen images of children living in cages on United States soil. We have heard their cries. We have read some of their stories. Many of the people being incarcerated at the border are fleeing trauma of gang violence, domestic violence, and government-supported violence in their home countries. They fled to the United States seeking respite and relief. Instead they have been further traumatized. It is with great sadness, anger, shame, a sense of helplessness, and a great desire to improve this situation that we write. As Buddhists, and Shambhalians in particular, we see the fundamental goodness in every human being. We see the good in our society. Each parent and child at the border suffering at the hands of the United States government right now has the same worthiness and humanity as each American citizen. The officials detaining them have the same worthiness and humanity. Those in power ordering the detentions possess this worthiness and humanity. We all do. We call on our Shambhala community to remember our own fundamental goodness, worthiness, and humanness at this time. We commit to seeing that goodness in others. All others. Those detained and those ordering the detentions. We also ask our neighbors, friends, families, colleagues, and members of our local communities to consider the humanity of those at the border as well as that of our leaders. Lastly, we implore the United States government to consider the humanity of the parents and children at the border. We long for policies that celebrate and protect the basic goodness of all beings. We are relieved that this policy of separating families has been reversed, but still condemn jailing children with families.  Further, we encourage you to seek more companionate immigration policies going forward. Two organizations we recommend connecting with for further action are the ACLU and the Florence Project. With great sadness, The Kalapa Council and Shambhala Office of Social Engagement
