It's no secret to any hunter or fisherman in Florida that the spraying of aquatic vegetation is destroying the ecosystem for our fish and our migratory birds. Not only are these harmful chemicals killing the vegetation that provides shelter, nutrition, and filtration but they are also mutating and unethically killing our wildlife species.
These activities are being performed in the interest of making our lakes and fresh water sources more "leisure friendly" however, they are ineffective at accomplishing that task and the only outcome that we are left with is horribly diseased and mutated fish, a reduction in total species population, leaving predators to go outside of their normal food chain and creating an ecological disaster that is becoming more and more unmanageable.
We demand that these activities are IMMEDIATELY stopped until the public, who pays for the land and for the conservation efforts of the land, are allowed to submit a conservation proposal or are allowed to vote on any measures going forward.
