Petition to david gauke, Secretary of State for Justice
Stop rapists from accessing children conceived through rape
My name is Sammy Woodhouse. I was a victim of emotional and sexual abuse as a child, as part of the Rotherham abuse scandal. I decided to speak out to help expose what was happening to me and 1400 others children who were abused and failed. After rebuilding my life, I was made to relive the trauma again last year when the courts said my abuser Hussain could seek visits with my son. Just two years ago Hussain was found guilty of 23 child sex offences and is currently serving a 35 years prison. How could the courts not see he is a danger to me and my child? I can’t bear to think of him near our family. That’s why I’m calling for a change in the law, a simple amendment to the Children’s Act 1989 that would ban any male with a child conceived by rape from applying for access/rights.I’m not the only one this has happened to. Rape victims like me around the UK are having to share access of their children with the men that raped them. Some women are even having their children removed and custody given to the rapists. This is putting children and women at risk and is extremely distressing. I’m also asking for a full public investigation to make sure all mothers can come forward and share their experiences to make improvements. Advice and support need to be made available to rape victims and professionals to make sure they’re working within the law. The MP Louise Haugh is backing this. I’ve wavered my anonymity to help others - please help by signing.

Make Conversion Therapy illegal and remove ‘consenting adults’ from accessing.
Conversion therapy is abhorrent and wrong. It has no place in society, ever. The Government have repeatedly failed to make this awful practice illegal and have recently introduced plans that would ban it but allow ‘consenting adults’ to access this ‘therapy’. No one in their right minds would consent to this and it is clear that this would now become a matter of access-by-coercion as well as abuse. Therapy implies that an individual is sick or need help mentally or physically. Those that are Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and other are not sick nor do they need help. Britain in 2021 must be a world player and make this practice completely illegal and ensure that those who try to carry this out face criminal prosecution as this threatens human rights. Please join me in making this petition get to Downing Street to ensure we tell the Government that enough is enough.

Petition to Special Minister of State Gavin Jennings, Andrews Labour Government, Royal Commission in Family Violence
Urgently stop domestic violence perpetrators from accessing victim “safety hubs”
I suffered years of domestic violence. Assaulted, handcuffed and tied up with rope — my little girls and I went through hell at the hands of my ex. When we finally escaped, support services and safe spaces were crucial for our survival. That’s why I’m disgusted at VIC Government’s latest proposal. Plans to set up ‘Support and Safety Hubs’ for family violence victims have begun, but they'll be open to perpetrators as well as victims and kids. This means victims in trauma will be at risk of theirs and other abusers presence, if they want to access the hubs. I can’t believe it. No woman I know would set foot in them if they knew their perpetrator was going there. Perpetrators can self refer to attend the hubs. A perfect opportunity to haunt and torment women and children. Even in the 'safe place' designed for women and children: perpetrators can deceive and self refer, continue to stalk and be unpredictable. I spoke to Kerry Burns, CEO of Centre Against Violence, CAV who objected to a number of concerns including this one and supports this petition and hopes we can become a louder voice. She has kindly allowed me to share the points which are concerning her from her point of expertise. CAV will be speaking further in their concerns about the Safety Hubs and I mentioned how this petition and my work with hundreds of women are available to support her with her document when it will be presented. "It is of great concern to me that the hubs have been designed as a single entry point for 3 groups of people, most particularly for victims and for perpetrators. It is not safe for victims to enter the hubs when perpetrators can self-refer to them. By this I mean it is not safe in anyway: psychologically, emotionally or physically. For many years now L17 referrals for women who are victims of family violence have been directed to family violence specialists. This is where the referrals belong. However, the Safety Hub is going to receive them in the future. I have very serious concerns that this is not in the best interests of the women. My concern is based on the first point which is women will not find it safe to accept a service which is designed to provide for perpetrators. There is a great deal of worry with the design but the final point I will make now is that women will again confront the question “Will I be believed?” and when they ask this in relation to a safety hub they will answer it in the negative. They are right. The great strength of a perpetrator is to groom women and victims. His grooming is capable of creating collusion in other settings. The safety hub is a setting that will be at risk of colluding with him rather than holding him accountable".Kerry BurnsChief Executive OfficerCentre Against ViolenceBSW Hons Please read the complete document Support and Safety Hub Statewide Concept July 2017 to confirm what I am saying: http://www.vic.gov.au/system/user_files/Documents/fv/Support%20and%20Safety%20Hub%20Statewide%20Concept.pdf page 10: 1. Who the Hubs are for The Hubs are for: women, children, young people and older people experiencing family violence families in need of support with the care, wellbeing and development of children and young people, and perpetrators of family violence (see box on page 20 – Keeping perpetrators in view). Read page 19-20 for further detail about perpetrators attendance at the safety hubs. It is sickening to say you are horrified about domestic violence and you want women and children to be safe and then you create a safe house which is not a safe place. This is an exact replication of what they escaped or are trying to escape from. I am speaking out because my children's childhood was robbed and it takes many, many years to recover. There are many costs: financially, emotionally, physical health and limitations in life choices. I don't want this to continue in my grandchildren's world. Creating safety hubs for victims was a recommendation of the Royal Commission into Family Violence. But it was a recommendation for victims and children to be safe and protected — not to create another space where perpetrators can locate and re-traumatise them. Please sign and share my petition today, urging the VIC Premier Daniel Andrews and Special Minister of State Gavin Jennings to immediately stop plans for perpetrators to attend these safety hubs. P.S. you can reach me on firstname.lastname@example.org, join me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/thewolfinasuit or get my book and story at www.thewolfinasuit.com I have now spoken with a number of people who have been involved with the consultation process. These are the (anonymous) concerns which are coming out from the conversations which have been ignored through the consultation process. Women are not safe when perpetrators are allowed to self refer Further points that are of concern in creating safety hubs which are not safe: A number of organisations have pulled out of the Safety Hub plan due to the lack of taking the victim survivors needs into the design. It is believed a number of voices/spokespeople and organisations are not speaking out to not risk their position or funding. The Safety Hubs control and takeover of the process of referral and processing of client needs, means that the DV response is not the women and children centred place for women and children to receive help, as it now comes under the duristiction of Dept of Human Services. Kerry Burns from CAV stated further she had a number of concerns: It shifts the referall out of the Domestic Violence sector and into the hub It is the same entry point for victims and perpetrators The design states that it will do more for those facing barriers such as men who are victims and others: yet leaves men who are victims with VAP which actually leaves doubts of congruency of intention Refers to family violence and sexual assault services in the same map describing the ‘broad service system’ sitting with schools LGA”s etc. which is completely incorrect. (Anita: Family violence and sexual assault has completely different knowledge base and needs to local government and again is placing or hijacking this specialist area into governement.) Shifts after hours responses out of the Domestic Violence sector Enables the hub to offer full services if the client prefers. In Kerry's experience this means referrals to centres such as Centre Against Violence will not be automatic There is no relationship between MDC and Hub There is no clear statement about whether the hub is an arm of government, (Anita: though from confirmation from others in the consultation process, it is now sitting under the umbrella of Dept Human Services) There appears to be a token to listen to the specialist expertise they require will come from our sector: but are not in the design process taking on board all the DV service and survivors experience and needs. So in fact, to provide expertise in a system that is not designed by the specialists.

Fix the issues with accessing the Disability Support Pension
The current process for people suffering from chronic illness and disability to access social services is flawed in Australia. With waiting times exceeding 9 months for people to be assessed for the Disability Support Pension (DSP) it is forcing those living with a disability in some cases to live a lifestyle that puts them below the poverty line and is causing immense emotional hardship. My name is Jake Bailey. I am 23, I have completed a university degree straight out of high school and after that I begun my hairdressing apprenticeship. I always prided myself on being an outgoing and hard working individual. Last year, however, I was forced into an early forced retirement due to the genetic chronic illness Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is primarily a lung disease, however, it also affects most of the other major organs in the body. As it stands, Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the most common genetic life threatening illness in the country, double lung transplants are a common prognosis and those who have CF have a mean life expectancy of 39 years old. As a result of my CF I have a predicted lung capacity of 40% which requires me to perform daily physio and antibiotic therapy. The decreased capacity furthermore limits me to the amount of physical activity that I can do. Further complications from CF has resulted in my pancreas being damaged to a point where I have to consume 30+ tablets a day (pancreatic enzyme replacements) and adhere to a strict diet in order to gain any nutrients out of food. The health regime that I have to follow in order to maintain my health leaves me as a time poor person, with these treatments taking hours out of my day, and weeks out of my year when hospitalization becomes a necessity. Living with these extra responsibilities did make work a more arduous task and it did take a toll on my body with my lung capacity taking a hit of around 15% in the two years where I was working full time and my time spent hospitalized increased. With these statistics in mind under the advisement of the team of medical professionals who look after me at the Prince Charles Hospital Brisbane I was recommended to apply for the DSP in order to prolong my health. At this time, armed with 23 years of medical evidence from a range of professionals across all fields of medicine (Thoracic specialists, Mental health professionals, Dieticians etc.) I applied for the DSP with Centrelink. My claim was left sitting for over 4 months before I was contacted; albeit after I checked up on the process of my claim multiple times, by the department. In this time, my interim payment (newstart allowance) had been cancelled or suspended 4 times, due to a lack of communications between departments because I had exceeded the allotted exemption period for those applying for DSP. In my communications with the department I have been made to feel embarrassed and frustrated over the phone and in person numerous times. From being asked asinine questions such as if my “degenerative lung disease” will improve over the next 24 months and being told that I should work until the point where hospital outweighs all other aspects of my life I became very despondent with the situation at hand. Upon the presentation of my medical history to Centrelink the statistical evidence that I, and my medical team had provided which proves the degradation of my lungs has been continually ignored. Instead a rubric based upon anecdotal evidence is preferred by the assessors with questions regarding my gardening capabilities and whether I can walk home from the shops used to assess my health issues. This is incredibly embarrassing and demeaning as it questions my integrity as a disabled person. To add further salt to the wound all associated issues that come from living with a chronic illness such as the emotional ramifications are ignored and not treated to be part of the holistic wellbeing of a person to the point where I was questioned if my documented mental health issues were real and genuine. Putting already disabled people, people dealing with losing their jobs under this stress and forcing them to justify their illness beyond reasonable measures is sadistic and this has to change. As it stands, I am still in the process of being approved for the DSP and am waiting upon further contact to notify me of my claim. Yes, I have received interim payments, and for this I am thankful, however, the associated costs of living with a chronic illness such as medications, transportation and diet specific foods has left me in an incredibly vulnerable and uncomfortable financial position. When you add to that the emotional stress, and the overarching feeling of being undervalued and dehumanized by a seemingly sadistic system has left me, my family and loved ones in a depressed state. A change has to be made to make these social systems more accessible for all disabled people. I speak from my perspective of having CF, but, I am aware that there are hundreds if not thousands of people in our nation who live with their own afflictions who have been compromised and made to navigate this hard to access system. I urge the Minister for Health The Hon. Greg Hunt and the minister for human services The Hon. Michael Keenan to discus this matter and meet with disabled people; young, old, inherited or accident to gauge how the system makes us feel and live. Please work with us, so we can be proud and active members of our communities. EDIT: I have received contact from my local member for Brisbane Hon. Trevor Evans to arrange a meeting to discus my petition and to start talking about the issues at hand with the hard to access DSP. EDIT: In light of so many sharing their stories of how they have struggled to access the DSP I have made a dedicated email address, email@example.com for you to bravely share your stories. I am going to collect these so when I meet with decision makers I have a strong portfolio covering a wide range of illness and impairments in order to show how these issues with access affect many people from all walks of life. EDIT: Upon receiving communication back from The Hon. Dan Tehan I have been advised to address this petition to The Hon. Michael Keenan MP also as this is an issue which falls under the Minister for Human Resources. Thank you for reading. Regards, Jake Bailey

STOP adults from accessing unknown children on social media!!
Over the past five years, we (volunteers of CreeperHunterTV) have sought out and captured (on video), over 100 adult persons across North America who expressed a desire and attempted to meet up with whom they believed to be a child (under the age of 15). In all of the cases, the adult's primary motivation was sexual in nature. All of these adults wanting to meet children, used social media of some kind to try and gain access to what they believed was underage persons. While some of these adults were charged with criminal offences, the criminal justice system may not be an effective method for deterrence or protecting children and vulnerable persons. WHEREAS “Vulnerable Persons*” may not be adequately protected on social media platforms from people or persons in Canada or abroad whose intentions are to exploit, sexualize or otherwise harm; and Vulnerable Persons may be bullied, targeted, threatened, blackmailed or otherwise harassed by others online; and Inadequate controls currently exist within existing legislation to sufficiently mitigate the risk of harm to Vulnerable Persons on social media platforms which increases the likelihood of harm to those unable to assess their own risk; and Social media platforms continue to be introduced and provide more opportunity for harm to Vulnerable Persons; and Preventing access to social media platforms by Vulnerable Persons can be achieved in part through age verification measures which the Government of Canada (and other world governments) have the means to mandate; and This can help to support a greater initiative by governments to protect the online safety of Vulnerable People across the world. We, the undersigned, citizens of the world, call on all federal governments across the world to: 1. Commit to protecting Vulnerable Persons from harm whilst using social media platforms. 2. Create, implement and enforce an Act, Statute, Legislation or Regulation to empower ISPs (internet service providers) in enforcing such Regulations and to demand a minimum age threshold and system for verifying age of end users, from creators of electronic device applications, social media websites and related businesses. *Vulnerable persons are any individuals who are susceptible to abuse or mistreatment because of the individual's circumstances, including but not limited to the individual's age, physical or mental disability, illness, or otherwise, who cannot to protect themselves from violence, abuse or neglect.

Include Registered Societies and Trusts in accessing CSR Funds
The Corporate Social Responsibility Amendment Rules Draft is now in the public domain and comments are asked for by 28th March. Rule 4 of the Draft excludes Registered Societies and Trusts. CSR Funds will only be routed through Section 8 Companies or Govt agencies. This will be a big catastrophe in the voluntary sector, as most of the exemplary work in areas of education, health, environment, disability and other marginalised sectors is done by the Not for Profit Organisations. They are mostly registered as Societies or Trusts. Partnerships of the civil society, corporate and the government has shown excellent projects and activities in marginalised and low resource areas, which otherwise would have remained totally untouched. Excluding Societies and Trusts from CSR funding, may lead to the closure of many very productive organisations. We request you to sign and join our campaign to urge the Finance Minister to once again include Societies and Trusts in Rule 4 of the CSR Amendment Rules. Thank you for your support! The Liberals are accessing your private bank info. Say "NO" to Trudeau!
Summary: The Liberal Government supports Stats Can in gather the personal financial information of 500,000 Canadians from the Banks without respecting our Privacy rights or asking our permission.Personal story: We are concerned citizens who feel this action disrespects and violates our right to privacy. The issue: The Prime Minister has broken the laws that cover our right to Privacy (PIPEDA) by authorizing Stats Can to collect the personal financial and banking information/history from Canadian Banks for 500,000 citizens/residents. It is our understanding that this has been done twice since 2016. It is not a one time request and will be repeated as Stats Can finishes culls through the private data collected, probably on an annual basis.. The Banking system is breaking the privacy laws (PIPEDA) by providing the information to Stats Can. The big three banks have come out today to say they have not responded to this request with no mention of the last two. Candace Bergan MP says it has already been done - so which bank provided our info? The Federal government has access to our earnings but they want all transactions made with our after tax dollars including banking transfers to family members, payments made for services or products, including mortgages, credit cards and utilities. We maintain they do not have the right to this information without our signed authorization per the Privacy Act and Andrew Scheer has confirmed this in a statement. We want the Federal Government to cease and desist with regards to the collection of our banking information. We also ask the Banks to refuse to send our information to Stats Can citing PIPEDA immediately and in future.Take action! Sign our petition because YOU (your friends & relatives) could be one of the 500,000 Canadians whose privacy rights have been or are being violated right now - and could be in the future. The Government has no right to this information. Why do they need it? If this petition is unsuccessful, we will call for Canadians to remove their money from Canadian Banks that do not comply and move to a cash payment system. We will also consider a class action law suit against those banks who have complied and the PMO's office.
Petition to New Zealand House of Representatives
Prevent children accessing violent porn on smartphones! New Zealand
Requesting that the NZ House of Representatives recommend to the Government that it address the issue of children’s accessibility to porn via smartphones. Violent porn is readily viewed by children and adolescents via smart phones. As a high school teacher I have witnessed the changes in sexual awareness and perversity in students between 2009 until now in mainstream NZ High Schools - this corresponds with smartphone introduction. Between 2008 and 2011 (when smartphones were introduced) exposure to porn among boys under the age of 13 jumped from 14% to 49%. 4/5 adolescents have seen porn websites when they didn't intend to access them in a 2016 study. 84%of young men view porn. In a study of best-selling porn videos - 88% include physical aggression, 94% of cases included gagging, choking and slapping directed at females. 95% of aggression was met with a neutral or positive response (therefore boys think that girls enjoy this treatment). Overall, this is causing warped ideation around sex and behaviour which further impacts adolescent development. This particularly puts girls at risk of harm from sexual violation at earlier ages from adolescent boys. Also, once sexual neural pathways are formed in adolescence they are extremely difficult to change. The human rights violations from the sexual violence and exploitation of girls is now considered the new 'normal' and sexual violence and degradation is enacted at earlier ages. Therefore porn needs to be addressed in NZ as a public health crises - involving government action. Let children (under 18) have a childhood free from porn.
