Reject continuing efforts by Google to trademark the word "glass"

The Issue

The term “Glass” originated during the Roman Empire and today is a modern day term that is used to describe numerous industrial and consumer products in the United States and around the world. The word is used by numerous companies to describe their products generically, there are trade associations and publications that use the term generically, and there is even an entire industry that refers to itself with the term glass. Glass is a generic term and no one should own it.
