Please do not change the zoning of the property vacated by the UMCP
The Issue
The purposed changes to the zoning will allow for an increased density that will over power the neighborhood. The purposed apartment complex will place close to 1000 new residents on to a five acre piece of land. There is not adequate parking available for the purposed new residents as well as the existing visitors and work force that will be using the buildings that will remain. The increase in the school population will also be a burden on the existing schools and may force the Town to build new schools to accomodate the influx of new children. The property in question was already re-zoned to the agreement of the community five years ago and the only people who are not pleased with the decision made by the Borough of Princeton is the Developer who is attempting to write their own policies for the future of Princeton in the 11th hour and the hospital who would like to cash in at the expence of our quality of living.
