The present forum severely restricts users in ways such as finding information, personalizing themselves, and easily posting. It it is obvious that the only reason no change has come is because Drupal forums are free. This is utterly unacceptable and only makes the administration look pathetic.

What is needed:

-Search posts/threads by user

-Viewable user page

-Easier to use HTML tags that use short brackets such as instead of and can be wrapped around text using simple clicks.

-remember password feature for regular and Steam users

-500 word limit
- more flexible limit for posts that start threads

-Report function

-Blocking users

Forum software such as vBulletin and Simplemachines are better alternatives.
