Mayor Susuras, the following Grand Junction citizens ask you to step down from City Council and relinquish your seat on the Airport Authority Board. You were appointed to Council in February, 2010 and then won the District B seat in 2011 by defualt, in an uncontested election.  Since then, you have represented Grand Junction citizens remarkably poorly. You supported woman-beater Rick Brainard staying on City Council. You engineered your own appointment as Mayor and then, in that role, denied citizens the right to elect our own representative to replace City Councilor Harry Butler after his untimely death. More recently, you supported continuing the corrupt and embarrassing behavior displayed by the Airport Board and former G.J. Airport Director Rex Tippets, by arguing that the Board should continue to misrepresent the intended purpose of a new airport building currently under construction in order to keep the grant money the federal government awarded to fund the building under false pretenses. Mr. Susuras, we are outraged, horrified and thoroughly embarrassed by your actions on Council, and we no longer want you as our representative. Please take this vote of "no confidence" to heart and step down from Council immediately.
