The upcoming next generation consoles and an increasing popularity of PC as a high-end gaming platform and especially an almost a cult status of System Shock games, the new Shock (3) can become yet again a genre-defining game. The commercial success of Bioshock, Deus Ex and Dishonored games as well as development of new Thief suggests the demand for first person, sci-fi/fantasy RPGs is as strong as ever and with the availability of Shock 2 on GOG and passing of rights to a non-EA entity (Night Dive Studios) creates an opportunity for a renown studio/distributor to acquire the IP rights with relative ease. I'm raising this petition as a first step to bring System Shock 3 to life and hoping to get enough "signatures" to pass on to developers that I'm confident would make System Shock 3 a cult and a potential vehicle for future games (Irrational, Eidos, Arkane).
