As HP customers have already experienced, many consumers of the HP Envy Model have had an issue with the left hinge of the notebook. For example, many people are purchasing this model and having this constant issue whereas they cannot open and close the laptop to prevent further damage, and nothing has been done to improve it. Some have had their laptop repaired only to have the issue reappear, and others have been told to pay an amount within the range of $150-300 only to have the same issue occur later.

Whether in warranty or out of warranty, this issue continues to happen. People are left with the option to either pay up or deal with keeping their machine at home instead of having the ability of travel. Many people are opting out of purchasing any future HP products due to poor quality of being held together by only glue instead of a screw similar to the right hinge. I'm calling for HP to improve the quality of this model. It's a shame for a product to have many complaints and nothing has been done about it. Improving the durability of the left hinge would save people a great amount of trouble, end customer frustration, and will also bring more quality for HP.
