What if your money was stuck in an ATM and you don’t have money left, even a single cent to pay for your fare to go back home? What if your money was supposed to be used for emergencies? Apparently, I don’t see any provisions here for “victims” like me. I just had to accept the fact that my money was lost till returned which fortunately for me, came back after 3 days. I’ve searched for similar incidences and saw that there are hundreds of stories out there who withdrew bigger amounts and never got their money back.

This petition is very important because it concerns hard-earned money being unused for days. If you happen to withdraw all your salary in one instance on your payday and an ATM failed to dispense your money, what will happen to you and your family? Nganga!

Budget keepers like me, working moms, work at home moms, will not use an ATM unless needed. It is so frustrating when you have to go all through the processes and have you empty handed when these ATMs eat your money. It's time to have these banks do something to make improvements on their system to at least compensate those who had their money stuck inside the machine for days!

It's time for these banks to fix their machines or do some programs to compensate those who got their money stuck in ATMs. Banks should pay a percentage of the amount once they prove that their machines had errors in dispensing. They should also have a 24 hour support system for those who have emergency needs for the cash eaten by the ATM.
