Madagascar is one of the world's poorest countries, where over 75% of the people live on less than $1 a day. It is also perhaps the most biologically unique country in the entire world, with 80% of its plants and animals found nowhere else in the world, but these species are under constant threat of deforestation and environmental degradation. DreamWorks has made millions of dollars of profit on the "Madagascar" movie franchise, yet has barely donated a penny to the country whose name it uses. This petition asks DreamWorks to donate a portion of profits from the franchise towards helping the people and environment of Madagascar.
