I've started this petition with one thing in mind: Saving Turntable.fm. Here are a few reasons why I think it would be a terrible idea to shut it down.

• For about two years, I have been an avid Turntable.fm user. In this time, many things have been sparked from TT, for myself and others. There has been friendships formed over something important: Music. This is something special that no other social network has achieved. People bond over that common interest.
• While Turntable Live will get you some money, there is a big risk that it will be a dud. It's a great idea, don't get me wrong, but people aren't always going to spend a small amount of money to listen to something they might be interrupted from.
• Turntable is, in my mind, a one of a kind experience. There's no other website I've encountered that you can listen to music on and chat at the same time. Now, I know you (the creators) are tight with money, but I don't think that should stop you from running TT. There's a possibility you've thought of this already, but I've spoken with several people who'd rather see ads on TT and its apps than see it shut down.

If that doesn't show we love TT, then what will?

I hope anyone who's taken the time to read this will consider signing, and sharing. I will try and find a way to present this petition on December 2nd, when we have the "goodbye" party. If we reach our goal before, then... Well, I'll figure it out.
