✅住友商事が定めた「住友商事グループ人権方針」を遵守するまでボイコットを推進していきましょう！
2026年8月27日〜28日に、BJB・NAJAT・ジェノサイドに抗する防衛大学校卒業生の会の3団体は、防衛省、住友商事、住商エアロシステム、日本エヤークラフトサプライの各所に対して、2026年7月からの約2ヶ月間で集まった40,870筆の署名を提出しました。
わたし達の要求に対する防衛省・各社の反応は以下の通りです。
- 防衛省：防衛省職員が防衛省前で受け取り。市民が対面で要請を読み上げ、署名簿を提出。要求に対する回答はなし。
- 住友商事：サステナビリティ・DE&I推進グループが受け取り。市民側代表者1名のみ入室を許され対面で署名簿を提出。受け取った住友商事側の担当者は、署名簿をそのまま会議室に置き去ろうとしたため、入室した市民側代表者が部署に持ち帰るように改めて念を押して依頼。要求に対する回答はなし。
- 住商エアロシステム：署名簿の対面での受け取りを拒否したため郵送で提出。要求に対する回答はなし。
- 日本エヤークラフトサプライ（NAS）：NAS幹部1名が本社前で署名簿を受け取り。要求に対する回答はなし。
防衛省や各社は、イスラエル製武器輸入・イスラエル軍需企業との取引によって、イスラエルのジェノサイドを下支えしています。しかし、そのことに対して、全く無自覚で無関心なままです。パレスチナ人の抹殺、民族浄化、違法な拘禁や性暴力、人為的飢餓をはじめとする数々の国際法違反を可能にしてきた「ジェノサイド経済」により、利益を得ると同時にジェノサイドを推進しているのは、まさにこうした各国の政府や企業の態度です。
オンライン署名はまだ募集中で、相当数が集まったのち第2次提出を予定しています。
引き続き路上での抗議行動の際の署名呼びかけや、オンラインでの拡散をお願いいたします。
また昨年度から呼びかけていますが、住友商事の商品・サービスのボイコットを改めて呼びかけます。住友商事とそのグループ会社は「住友商事グループ人権方針」にて、国連「ビジネスと人権に関する指導原則」に則って活動することと、「国際的に認められた人権と各国法の間に矛盾がある場合においては、国際的な人権規範を尊重するための方法を追求」することを約束しています。
イスラエルの行為はすでに国連人権理事会の独立調査部会によってジェノサイドと認定されており、国際司法裁判所（ICJ）がイスラエルに出した暫定措置命令に背き続けています。イスラエル製ドローンがこのジェノサイドで中心的な役割を担っていること、イスラエル製兵器はパレスチナ人の人体実験を通じて性能を高めてきたことは、多くの専門家により指摘されており、イスラエル企業、とりわけジェノサイド遂行の実行部隊であるイスラエル軍とほとんど一体化した軍需企業との取引は、明らかに国際的な人権規範の蹂躙です。
住友商事をボイコットし、住友商事自らが約束した「人権方針」を遵守するよう求めましょう。

✅ Let’s continue to push for a boycott until Sumitomo Corporation complies with its own “Sumitomo Corporation Group’s Human Rights Policy”!
On August 27 and 28, 2026, we (BJB, NAJAT, and the Association of National Defense Academy Graduates Against Genocide) submitted 40,870 signatures, collected over approximately two months starting in July 2026, to the Ministry of Defense (MoD), Sumitomo Corporation, Sumitomo Corporation Aero Systems, and Nippon Aircraft Supply (NAS).
The responses from the MoD and the respective companies to our demands are as follows:
- MoD : An official received the signatures in front of the Ministry's main gate. A citizen read the petition aloud and submitted it in person. No response was provided to our demands.
- Sumitomo Corporation: The Sustainability and DE&I Promotion Group received the signatures. Only one representative from the citizens’ group was permitted to enter the building. The Sumitomo Corporation representative who received them attempted to leave the book of signatures in the meeting room, so the citizen representative insisted that it should be taken back to the office. No response was provided to our demands.
- Sumitomo Aero Systems: Since they refused to receive the petition in person, it was submitted by mail. No response was provided to our demands.
- NAS: One executive accepted the petition in front of the headquarters. No response was provided to our demands.
The MoD and these companies are supporting Israel’s genocide through the trade of Israeli-made weapons and transactions with Israeli military contractors. However, they remain completely unaware and indifferent to this fact. It is precisely the attitude of these governments and corporations that enables them to profit from, and simultaneously promote, the “genocide economy”, which has facilitated numerous violations of international law, including the genocide aiming for extermination of Palestinians, ethnic cleansing, illegal detention, sexual violence, and human-made famine.
We are still collecting online signatures and plan to submit a second batch once a significant number has been gathered.Please continue to help us collect signatures during street protests and share this call online.
Furthermore, as we have been calling for since last year, we once again urge a boycott of Sumitomo Corporation’s products and services. In its “Sumitomo Corporation Group’s Human Rights Policy”, Sumitomo Corporation and its group companies pledge to conduct their activities in accordance with the UN “Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights” and to “pursue ways to respect international human rights norms in cases where there is a conflict between internationally recognized human rights and national laws”.
Israel’s actions have already been designated as genocide by the UN Human Rights Council’s Independent Commission of Inquiry, and Israel continues to violate the provisional measures ordered by the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Many experts have pointed out that Israeli-made drones play a central role in this genocide and that the performance of Israeli-made weapons has been enhanced through human experimentation on Palestinians. Therefore, doing business with Israeli companies, particularly military contractors that are virtually integrated with the Israeli Defence Force, which serves as the operational force carrying out the genocide, clearly constitutes a violation of international human rights regulations.
Let’s boycott Sumitomo Corporation and demand that it comply with its own “Human Rights Policy”!
