Prof. Dilip Mandal was also locked out of his account.
Many of us have to fight every day on Twitter to just to exist and raise our voices!
Infact, most of the blue verification ticks on twitter belong to Upper caste and privileged people who claim to be ‘influencers’, ‘political analysts’ but spread hate everyday. Sometimes they even get verification with very less followers.
However, the accounts of Dalit, Tribal, Minority and other Backward community activists are hardly verified.
They are time and again locked out of their accounts for speaking up against casteism and other ground issues. I have started this petition to ensure that it does not happen anymore.
Social media platforms like Twitter are regularly used by people like us to talk about real issues that our people and community face.
By selective verification and suspension, Twitter India shows how discriminatory they are.
We will no longer let this happen.
I have already asked them to verify my account multiple times.
They must to do it NOW.
