Thanks that media has started raising the issue of threat to wild life in Jawai region, as the dam is nearly empty. The ecosystem is on verge of collapse. This crisis is not only due to less rainfall or climate change but more because of human greed & bad governance.

We have written to many authorities & are hoping that sensible long term actions will be taken soon.

There is urgent need of good & strict policy on water extraction & usage by all - households, tourism, agriculture, etc. There is also a need to revive traditional surface water bodies like wells, check dams & ponds/ lakes.

There is need to regenerate & restore i.e. care for soil, water, forest and they will take care of animals & humans.
